Course Curriculum Overview

4

The education system is good. I personally did not face any difficulty with the curriculum. The syllabus is completed at least 25 days before the end semester examination giving ample time to study and revise. The curriculum did not include unnecessary subjects that wouldn't help students in real-world applications. They were pretty knowledgeable and efficient. The curriculum felt very comfortably handsome picked making it easy to comprehend. I wouldn't suggest any areas of improvement it is great as it is.

Fees and Financial Aid

The registration fee was around 600. The Total fees per year came up to 60k(without concession)excluding the exam fees. The exam fees differed each semester depending on the number of subjects. Some of my batchmates claimed scholarships based on merit, caste and parents income basis. The scholarship system is pretty okay for those in financial distress. The eligibility to get these scholarships are pretty simple(proper attendance, grades etc)

Campus Life

4

College life was pretty good given the annual college functions, extracurricular activities and field trips. This college often organises useful workshops that bring together all the students making us participate with interest. Side by side, they also offer extra credit courses to boost your education. Sports activities are great. This college contains two massive liberaries making it easy to get access to a lot of knowledge. It is maintained strictly by adminstrators

Admission

To be Frank, this was the only college i applied for quite specific reasons. They are as follows: Manageable distance Quality of education A good culmination of students Infrastructure Fed structure Knowledgeable faculty members Importance for the code of conduct The admission process is a bit tricky. We're first asked to pay the registration way post which there is a strict interview conducted to select students. It is quite difficult to get selected in this college if you don't have good education. They select students purely based on our personality and education qualification. This process is interesting and you'll have to give your best while giving the interview.

Faculty

Most of the faculty members are pretty easy going when it comes to education. They are always available if any difficulty occurred. Professor Vimala is one the amazing faculty members in terms of education and student well being. She was very helpful and made it easy to get through the college. Professor Shruti sivaraman, the hod of the department, is literally a beautiful person inside out. She helped students personally and academically. Fr. Joshy and Principal fr Augustine were some the members i disliked the most. Both of these people got too intrusive in students like personally causing a lot of unwanted problems making it hard to get through college. Each semester had minimum 5 subjects and the exams were pretty easy to get through. With good assistance and voluntarily efforts getting good scores was easy. There was a very less percentage of failure.

Night Life

4

Some of my favourite hangout spots were the turf and cafeterias where i and my friends hanged out most of the time either gossiping or completing our college work in a rush. The admin block cafeteria is one the best ones out of the others. Some of the stalls are very budget friendly at the time same time there are pretty expensive stalls too There is a gymnasium available for the students at every affordable price around 100-200 per month. I didn't not opt for hostel facilities but Heard they're not that great from my peers who opted for that option.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was clear about choosing this stream as after 12th mind was fixed for preparing UPSC-CSE. So curriculum i had was exactly same which u needed!. Geography is very interesting subject and it further broadened my knowledge after i choosed the subject. We needed to write exam twice a year as many of us know it was a semester based. Question papers were of moderate difficulty and competent enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The idea of doing a triple major in one degree is what motivated me to choose this course. English, Political Science and History are interlinked in many ways that we know. Also, the course was primarily curated to help aspiring students for the Public Service Examinations, UPSC and SSC. The course really does an amazing job is getting the students ready for competitive exams.

Placement Experience:

Placements are given in our college for a lot of departments. A senior of ours got placed into Reuters with a very high placement. In the last year, that is the 4th year, you get eligible for campus placement. After I get my degree in History, I will pursue my master's in history from Christ University only or from a foreign college belonging to the Ivy league. After that, I will pursue my PhD in history and also give the Civil Services Examination.

Placement Experience:

For my exact department, campus placements for undergraduate students isn't great, but thats a concern for any college in Media Studies. Companies like Accenture and Bosch do come for roles like HR or Corporate Communications though, and with how the University teaches, employability is pretty high off campus, with students using their network built during their internships done in their earlier years to land a job. Starting salaries vary depending on the role and company, but start from around 3-4 LPA. Im currently into UI/UX, looking for an internship so I can start working once i graduate.
