Course Curriculum Overview

4

The only thing I choosed this course is there are many chance to get job in abroad by attending some competitive exams related to communication languages and skills There are many curriculum activities in our university guidelines but the college and administration is not fulfill all those activities for many reasons As per my knowledge the lecturers should get the perfect training by University about teaching methods and ideas to explore the details about the subject s and all doubt ls of the students Translating from English to our local language is not teaching method

Internships Opportunities

4

There is 6 month internship programme for us the last sem (8th) is fully posted all of us to clinical duty with different wards and we also posted night duty that will be nice and we'll experience and skills will be get in that because there is critical thinking and decision making by own will be learned and we learn to manage the whole clinical ward by own Later it helps to us to do better work in our job life and to get job and to increase our service efficiently in later jobs we got in other hospitals

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees structure for our course (Bsc.nursing) is in decreasing as from 1st year to final year. Our first year University fees was 6250 rupees and other fees like students association and for text book they put extra 12000 rupees in first year The fees for second year is 2550 Rupees for OBC category students and 550 rupees for SC and ST categorystudents. In third year we paid the fees of 2550 (for OBC category students)as same as the second year. And 550 Rupees for SC and STcategory students. In the final year also we have to pay the same amount (2550 rupees for OBC and 550 for SC and ST category students) for University fees Details about scholorship schemes As per my knowledge Now we are getting only a fees imbursment amount for both general quota students and SC Students but the amount is quitely different Fees imbursement amount for General category students is 5700 in first year, 4300 in second year,4000 in third year and 4000 in 4th year also fees imbursement amount for SC ST students is 5700 in first year, 5000 in second year, 4300 in third year , 4300 in 4th year also These are the details about fees and the scholarship benefits for our course. The department names that provides scholarship in Karnataka state includes Backward classes Welfare Department Social welfare Department Tribal welfare Department Minority welfare Department These are the part of Karnataka Government

Campus Life

4

As I know there are only 28 to 30 government nursing colleges in our state may be there totally 35 government colleges in Karnataka And few of these colleges are started in early That's the reason this course is not that famous as compared to other courses Now there are thousands of colleges in private ownership by many peoples Our college is attached to District Hospital And there is no basic facilities for us that's the biggest problem we have facing This is not our problem only most of the Government nursing colleges are facing the same problem especially the colleges started after 2020 The nursing colleges without medical colleges will face these problems

Admission

As we applied for this course through Karnataka examination authority they will give a merit list as according to our 12th score percentage and in that we can estimate which college we can get (Government or private college) Another option is Government seat in private college but that's not use at this current system of education Private colleges are aiming at only to make money only We know this course also we are studying to make money but they have to follow the university guidelines for fees structure University also have to take strict action on more fees seeking colleges As compared to these private colleges we are the lucky ones who got Government seats in government colleges because there s no need to pay the development fees and any other fees except University academic year fees and exam fees that's the great thing about our college

Faculty

2

The faculty and students ratio in our college is 10:240 there are 10 members lectures in our college and am frankly say that they all are not well trained to teach us and they all are not attend any exams to eligible teaching exams I don't know whether it is only in our college or in others college also , but all lectures are appointed to our college as lectures as per their clinical service in hospital more than 10 years as nursing staffs and who done MSC nursing also one of the eligibility criteria to appoint as lecture There are 10 lectures in our college but no one I like in that because they not reached out minds by their teaching level or methods. There are 7.theoery exams we write as one exam per semester 8th semester there is internship program for 6 months In the first sem exam 11 students are failed and later our college got 99% results in later all exams

Night Life

3

The most hang out place in our college is our hospital only late night experience will get in our night shift clinical duty that will be new to us and we were enjoyed that excitedly after some days that hits a lot that trouble of sleeping and day activities will not continue properly But there is some fun in our night shift clinical duty experience

Other Applied Colleges

Government college of nursing District Hospital Chitradurga N388 | Bsc.Nursing

I liked this course and I got Government seat in Government college that's the main reason

The circumstance that I choose this college is because of the fare for this college and that including the hostel facility too. The nursing job have more opportunity than any other courses here. The frequency and time are set by rajiv gandhi of health and science. They have to improve the college space because college is only small campus.
