Course Curriculum Overview

4

curicullum having more no.of assignments helped me to understand the topics good enough. Most of the first year courses doesn't prepare us for real-world applications. The curriculm should be modified so that students will be well prepared for real-world applications and teaching same old traditional courses wouldn't help. The frequency of exams is good enough but the difficulty is high.

Internships Opportunities

4

Companis like Wipro, Suzuki provide so many internship oppurtunities and so many consulting companies also come to college. Developing our must be our priority after joining the college because there are so many opportunities for the students. College also provides opportunities like doing integrated M.Tech and research for students who are intrested are worth.

Placement Experience

4

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Some of the companies which visited are samsung research, Adobe research, Intel. Highest package this year was 90 LPA and the avg is 23LPA. The percentage of students getting placements is 74.90%. I am still trying to figure whether to do higher studies or to do a job.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees for students other than sc/st/pwd category is Rs.1,00,000\- per semester and for the students in need college provides financal aid according to there family income. The medical , lab facilities and Hostel are same for everyone which are Rs.11,000\- per annum and Rs.15,000\- per semester respectively. The mess expenses are 17,000 per semester. the total adds upto 1,43,000\- for a normal guy but for in need or SC/ST/PWD people it is 43,000\-.

Campus Life

5

Milan held in August of every year which conducts competions in every aspect between hostels. Diesta held in January of every year which conducts competitions in every aspects between Departments. Horizon is the financial fest held by Finance and Consulting Club. The library is very good and very much accessible. All the classrooms are well equipped with projectors and Screen for easy and good learning. Extracurricular are conducted very frequently which increases interaction between students. Sunshine is the psychology division of IITH which always takes care of mental health of students.

Hostel Facilities

4

for first year UG students they are given each room for two people. All the other are given rooms for one. Each student is provided with a cot, chair, table and a cupboard. Hostels are equipped with radiant cooling technology. THe meal quality is good but the taste is below average. Registartion process is so easy and is affordable.

Admission

I applied for IITB and IITM and I got rejected because of my JEE-Advanced rank, most of the students who get an admission in our college is only by the JEE-Advanced rank. The cutoff for this exam is different for different category people. Admission processs is not quite simple but is nicely organised by JOSAA.

Faculty

4

The faculty student ratio is about 1:14. The faculty student relationship is so good all the faculty members encourage students to interact with them in the class hours and also provide facility to meet them in the office hours for any kind of suggestions and doubts and always encourage students to contact them at any time through E-Mail. Jyothi Vedurada is a professor in CSE department she is so good in explaining topics and i liked her teaching method which so much interactive. Cirriculums for some 1 credit courses are not well structured but for 90% of the courses the cirriculum so good. No.of Exams and evaluation is decided by the instructor of that specific course. Most of the instructors focus on giving assignments to help us learing.

Night Life

5

Gym area is always flooded with people and when the semester comes to an end library looks like whole campus is inside it. The old-mess lawns and the cafeteria are the best hangout spots in our college. Hostels are always open to go and students are also to go in and out of the campus anytime 24/7. It is very much safe to roam around at night because there are security guards all over the campus taking care of things when go wrong and all the routes have street lights.

From 4th year 1st semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. About 10-15 companies visited our college with minimum 3 lpa. And only 30% of students are placed in the campus placement. Companies like virtuza, movate, cognizant, hcl visited our campus for placement. The highest package was 4.5 lpa and lowest was 2.8 . My plans after getting degree is work in a reputed mnc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum of our college runs under the guidance of JNTU where all the fundamentals such as DSA ,program, data base and CN also core math are given in this college divides the conceptual, lessons in 5 units .for each unit we have submit assignment unit test and also an ALP which is concentrated on learning ,mechanisam which help student revise the concept in class itself. In terms of real world the curriculum builds the theoritical, knowledge but somewhat limited exposure where students should have get internships for an industry level experience or else atleast a entry level jobs help the students to learn as well.Area of improvement include more hands- on project works and more interactive teaching methods Like case studies and problem ,based, learning. Exams are regularly for 2 mid term for semester and one end semester exam.the difficulty level is moderate and manageable with consistent and study and focusing more on understanding concepts rather than rote learning

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am very Passionate about Computer Science. So I joined Information Technology which is the same as CSE. Information technology mostly offers the same opportunities as CSE in VNRVJIET. So, I preferred IT in VNRVJIET. In VNRVJIET, Hyderabad faculty: student ratio is approx 1:40 which is considered as Average ratio. Most of the Faculty are PHD Graduates but there are less number of Professors. Mostly there are Assistant Professors whose Teaching Methodology is average to Good but not rated as Better in terms of Teaching. Professors are good at Teaching but Some Assistant Professors are not as good as we expected. There are mostly newly joined PHD faculty members were there who will teach in a slow manner. Every 5-6 months we have Semester Exams which are mostly easy to pass if we have somewhat knowledge of the subject.
