The college has various fests such as dance and music fests called nrityanjali and woodrock. it also has an annual sports day called kridotsava. Apart from these, each department have their own set of fests where the students get to oragnize and be a part of them. the classes are equipped with projectors and the campus has various libraries and labs as well. the sports facilities are exceptional with a college gym as well.

Admission

I opted for KJC as i liked the course structure and culture of the college. Since I am into sports as well, it made my decision clearer as kjc has a sports association which incorporates all the sports. For admission to kjc, there is an application form which needs to be submitted along with and application fee. After which an interview takes place. Upon clearing the interview you receive a message regarding the confirmation of your admission.

The faculty student relationship is pretty good. The teachers are always ready to help and provide assistance and guidance whenever needed. The faculties in the psychology department are especially great. There are 2 exams throughout a semester. the mid sem exams and the end sem exams as well as practicals for both sems. The exams are easy and based on the curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was clear about choosing this stream as after 12th mind was fixed for preparing UPSC-CSE. So curriculum i had was exactly same which u needed!. Geography is very interesting subject and it further broadened my knowledge after i choosed the subject. We needed to write exam twice a year as many of us know it was a semester based. Question papers were of moderate difficulty and competent enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The idea of doing a triple major in one degree is what motivated me to choose this course. English, Political Science and History are interlinked in many ways that we know. Also, the course was primarily curated to help aspiring students for the Public Service Examinations, UPSC and SSC. The course really does an amazing job is getting the students ready for competitive exams.

Placement Experience:

Placements are given in our college for a lot of departments. A senior of ours got placed into Reuters with a very high placement. In the last year, that is the 4th year, you get eligible for campus placement. After I get my degree in History, I will pursue my master's in history from Christ University only or from a foreign college belonging to the Ivy league. After that, I will pursue my PhD in history and also give the Civil Services Examination.

Placement Experience:

For my exact department, campus placements for undergraduate students isn't great, but thats a concern for any college in Media Studies. Companies like Accenture and Bosch do come for roles like HR or Corporate Communications though, and with how the University teaches, employability is pretty high off campus, with students using their network built during their internships done in their earlier years to land a job. Starting salaries vary depending on the role and company, but start from around 3-4 LPA. Im currently into UI/UX, looking for an internship so I can start working once i graduate.
