I am quite interested in Genetics which influenced me to choose this course.The curriculum which include filed practicals will provide the knowledge of how crossing are made and how new varities of many crops prepared,this will make you ready for private company as well.

There is collaboration of some seed company , fertilizer company with the college which used to provide intership to the students .In addition some banks like IDBI Bank also provide some internship.In.thise company you will get to work as agricultural trainees.

In 2nd year of Masters you can participate in campus placement.A number of private companies which include seed company, Breeding company and certain types of banks ,Agri equipment manufacturing companies used to visit our campus.A min of 3.5 lakh per annum is average package.If in anyway if I won't get selected in campus placement then I will opt for government agriculture jobs.

I am swarna kumari currently persuing Master's in Genetics and plant breeding in Chandra Shekhar Azad Agricultural University,kanpur.I wrote ICAR-JRF exam in 2024 and got a chance to study here but you can come here through state exam which is UPCATET.Total fee for this course is 72000/year in addition if you opt for hostel You have to submit additional money which is based on how many diet you are eating with 20000 security fee.ICAR students get 2tyoes of scholarship which include NTS which is ?5000 per month and JRF which is 12000 per month. There is no categories wise fee here.

There is a central library in our campus which contains many books related with agriculture,research papers ,journals. Kisan mela is organised every year along with annual functiom of college day.Intercollege sports competition is also held.

For MSC ,there is 2 members in one room .During admission you have to submit 20000 security fee which is refundable.Theee is 2 diet in mess with no breakfast.Diet is?50each .In mess you will get regular foods with 2 days special foods.Mess is good.

I had written ICAR -JRF in 2024 and after counseling I got this college .I have preferred this college because of locality,course curriculum .Though you can take admission here through UOCATET exam if you are a resident of Uttarpradesh.For getting Genetics and plant breeding You have to get good marks and after admission you will get 5000 per month through NTS scholarship and 12000 through JRF scholarship

In Genetics department there is 20 students with almost 10 faculties available, further students is provided with advisor who will guide you in field work during your practicals. Course include genetic ,Plant breeding ,Molecular genetics ,seed technology,Fruit breeding along with PGS courses which include soil lab, Technical writing and communication.Exam include one mid exam which held after 3 month and 1 final exam after 6 months.In final exam you will get 7 questions each having 15 marks ,You can choose 5 best question to answer leaving 2 questions.

Girls are not allowed after 6pm to sath outside the hostels.Libarary used to open at 7Am morning everyday except Sunday and used to close at 7 Pm evening.Cateria generally closes at 8Pm. Since the college is located in centre of kanpur City so a lots of places is there outside to hang like moti jheel ,Zoo.
