Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course I'm taking is bachelor of arts (economics) which is a good one and as per NEP 2020 we've to study for 4 years and one year masters which is easy for time management and if we study only bachelors degree and obtain 75% we can easily give net exam which is a plus point of this curriculum.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly we spend ?24,400 , and there are no specified scholarship given by the college . The only scholarship we get is from nsp but i didn't get any till now, I'm still waiting for my payment! And the tuition fees per month is ?1200 and when we apply for examination general has to pay the full amount whereas as obc has to play slightly less and st and sc more less. The scholarship as per nsp schemes are ishand udhay and post matric scholarship for OBC, St SC and general .

Campus Life

4

We celebrate literacy day (November), farewell (January and May), freshers (August), bihu/bwisagu(April), Pre Christmas (December), college week (November) and manh more in our college . Many books are available according to your needs. There are many smart TV's for classes in our college mostly in 5-6 classrooms.

Admission

I chose this college because it is near to my home 15mins walking distance. I applied for cotton, and BH college and I chose Don Bosco college because it's nearer to my home. I didn't actually applied because they were far away from my home. In our college the eligibility criteria is based on the % we secured in class 12 board

Faculty

Teachers are friendly with the students but the thing is that our sister (vice principal) doesn't let us live peacefully, she doesn't let us initiate a program as per our wish but we have to organise it according to her wish for which we have to pay for that like seriously. The economics, education political science, English department are best among all. The thing is science faculties are not there much so I don't know much of them. For degree students we have two internal for each sem which is easy only because teacher already mentions some topics which will come . But many of the students are weak in studies which makes them fail in many of the subjects . The curriculum is based on NEP 2020 which is good and will keep going on good

Night Life

3

We have two canteen, basketball court football ground library etc. The outsiders can also enter our college and also can use the grounds for playing . And the assembly starts from 8.45am, by 9 am our classes are started and ends by 2.30. Our college famous spot is the basketball ground which is environment friendly and let's the outsiders use the court too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I strictly does not in believe in studying political science and history while doing a degree course of Economics subject because they are completely different. I had political science and history until 2 years in 4 semesters in total. I prefer to give mathematics for us as it would have been easy for us now, when we have much bigger questions to solve.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to participate in campus placement last year. The campus placement depends upon the courses you choose. For my program, three companies came- GOAN institute, Sutherland and another content writing program. Those who took BCom and BBA gets different placement companies. Many students get placed. But most of them choose to persue masters degree.
