Remarks

Being a student in Amity Business School, we get to have the first-hand experience of the infrastructure and the interaction with faculty as well as seniors.Stating facts, Amity Business School teaches in various streams of MBA which provides a holistic approach of understanding the corporate world we will enter in a an year.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

My opinion in regard with the course stands true in any form and in relation to any educational institution. Amity University is famous for it's infrastructure and the Amity Business School is famous for it's one of a kind faculty panel. The esteemed faculties under the guidance of our beloved Dean have provided us opportunities which we as students could not even anticipate for. The course is very wide but the fast paced nature of faculties help us in covering the curriculum in due time.

Internships Opportunities

Yes ABS provides internships to the students, different Corporate Houses offer various Job Profiles and the vast options to choose from is genuinely an opportunity many 3rd Tier colleges are failing to provide in India

Placement Experience

4

The final placement actually depends on the caliber of the students and most importantly the achievements they've acquired in course of 2 years. Networking is what Amity Business School teaches to it's students and provides and eventful exposure of extra-curricular activities as well.

College Events

5

Amity Business School hosts a Flagship Event every year; Global Leadership & Research Conference. In 2020, Amity Business School will host the 25th edition of GLRC. Various other events hosted in the department are categorized by the different clubs and societies. ABS has a lengthy list of events held during a particular semester.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is flexible and loan facility is also available for students and scholars are benefited with fee's refund or we can free study.Hostel fees is an annually paid before you are accommodated.

Fees and Financial Aid

Amity University provides the scholarship to their bright students. If you scored good marks in your graduation then they will charge less fees from you for your Masters Degree. There are various other options available for Economically Weaker Section of the aspirant student's families.

Campus Life

4.5

Being from a management background I could not experience the facilities provided to students whose part of curriculum includes activity labs but nonetheless all of them would be equipped with latest equipment. Sangathan is one of the university level event which is played among all the departments of the Amity University.Amity Business School actively participates in all the sports segments and secures different positions in them.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Amazing food and hostel are the best provided with all facilities from WiFi till furnished rooms. There are two types of hostels AC and Non AC. It depends on you now which hostel you choose. AC hostels have single occupied rooms and a common room for 4 such rooms. Whereas Non AC are double or triple sharing. At least better than hostels of many other private universities but yes rooms are a bit less spacey but that is okay if you are allotted single room. There are cafeterias in campus which will offer you variety of food.

Alumni/Alumna

As stated above in one of the questions, Amity is a platform where students create networking. Senior students are the first Point of Contact when we further into the college admission process. Throughout the interaction for an year while both the batches are together, students amalgamate beautifully.Alumni Mentors are designated to each student for further industry interaction in the due course of time.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is very unified and the students are marked four times on the basis of Relative Marking. The students have an over an above advantage of securing 25% of marks through mid terms, assignments and securing 100% attendance throughout the semester. The remaining 75% of the marks are awarded on the basis of final term exam at the end of the semester. SGPA is awarded at the end of four semesters and CGPA is awarded twice at the end of both years.

Admission

I scored 77% in my CMAT'18 Entrance exam. Anyone having their scores above 70% were eligible for the Direct Interview and they did not have to go through the proficiency exam. Day 1 - An exam for English language was conducted and then I was sent for the Final interview round where they asked me questions regarding my family background and my future aspirations as well as my expectations from the course. Day 2 - The second day I was called for submission of documents for furthering the admission process and then I had to get my documents authorized as well as attested by a government official. Day 3 - Orientation for the course began and students were divided stream-wise and sent to their respective classes.

Faculty

5

Amity Business School is famous for it's faculty in Marketing&Sales. The faculty is very helpful and it is mandatory for all the students to fill the Faculty Feedback form after the semester ends. If you've the will to expand your horizons the faculty will help you achieve the goal you've set for yourself.

Placement Experience:

Placements are fairly decent, with a range of companies recruiting, though non-tech students often face challenges in securing relevant roles. The placement team conducts mock interviews and workshops to enhance students' soft skills. Salary packages vary significantly based on the company and individual skill set, and internship opportunities are also available.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is designed to teach the basic and fundamental subjects of computer science to students. In each subject, the difficulty level is below moderate. There are some subjects which meet the industry standards and prepare students for jobs in market. But many subjects are out-dated and their syllabus is not upto standard mark of industry requirements. There is an urgent need to update the syllabus and make it more industry demands-oriented. The teaching methods used are good but some updates can make them more better. Less focus is given on practical knowledge and labs. In each semester, you will have sessional exams two times for all 5 subjects. In each year, there are two semesters and in each semester you will havee final exams in the month of December and May.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is highly relevant and comprehensive, according to me. The core courses that are mandatory for a student to take are highly relevant and necessary in order to develop the relevant skills and knowledge in that specific domain of the field. Electives on the other hand, are a student's choices and may or may not be relevant directly to the course one is studying. The university offers a wide range of electives and the electives are also taught by highly qualified professors across the 12 different schools of JGU. The end semester exams are either of 30 marks or 50 marks, depending on the course. Electives usually have a 30-mark end-of-semester exam for 1.5 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical and contextual, unless the course one has chosen is strictly application-based and demands applications of theoretical frameworks. The core exams in the first and second year are divided across 50 and 30 mark exams and are often for 3 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical except for the practicum courses, which are deeply application-based. The final year has very few core courses which are for 30 marks.
