Course Curriculum Overview

4

There are no such reason to choose this course as I found this course suitable for me. And about the college, I never wanted to get this college because of its high fees but this is the top 3rd college in Madhya Pradesh.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship opportunities are good but not same for placements. Many summer internship programs are also run by college to teach us the basics you have to keep in mind during internship like communication skills, your skills set , which type of internship you should apply for etc. These type of programs are held at the end of semesters.

Placement Experience

3

Honestly speaking there are not sufficient campus placement as very less companies come here for placements but you can take off campus placements and many companies offer a great package in off campus placements too. Many students do MTech and PhD too from the MITS itself as it provides many other courses including MTech, PhD, MBA etc. My plans after getting degree is of doing MTech with any job so that I would have a source of income as well. There are 3 to 4 reputed companies which provides placement to our college students like TCS, Infosys etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

In first year i have paid a total sum of 1,63,700 inr but from the second year the fees is going to be 1,25,000 inr per year. Caution money is 10,000 inr tution fee is 65,000 inr etc. Fees is same for all categories but on getting scholarship it may be reduced to some thousands. There are many scholar shop depending on merit and different entrance exam like mmvy etc.

Campus Life

3

My overall campus experience was good like we don't have so much fests but there are many worshops related to our course like Artificial intelligence, Programming workshops etc. And our Microprojects topics were too good. We learnt a lot from our Microproject. Those were based on our knowledge in computer programming and we used all the knowledge taught to us in first semester. Our programming and different labs are too furnished but some of our system not working properly so this is one of the drawback.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities are good but we have to share a room with 3 more girls which is quite conjusted and uncomfortable. Apart from that all the facilities are good but hostel fee is very high, 12,000 for 1 month. Which is not affordable for every one.

Admission

This college wasn't my first choice as I want SGSITS Indore which ranks first among all colleges in MP but due to my low rank I got MITS. But now I am satisfied with it because it is very near to my hometown and Gwalior is very familiar to me. I have not applied for any of the private colleges, so I haven't faced any rejection. I got this college on the basis of MPDTE counselling and the process is simple you have to fill the counselling and government will allot you a college on the basis of your jee rank. Once you are alloted a college you just have to take admission by fulfilling all the formalities

Faculty

4

The faculty to students ratio is quite less but the teachers are quite proficient in their subjects. There is no such teacher I like the most as all teachers are good in their way. Talking about exams then there are different lab xams and theory exams. There are three exams per semester Minor1 , Minor 2, and Major exam both for theory as well as lab.

Interview Experience

4

No there was not such formalities during admission. I got the college on the basis of my jee rank and it is the only major criteria to get the admission. Some other criterias are also there like domicile of MP and percentage in class 10th and 12th which do not affect that much. I haven't prepared anything I had just filled the MPDTE counselling form and choice filling very carefully because it is the major part of choosing a college. Wrong choice filling can lead you to choose wrong college and you will lose the one you deserve.

Night Life

3

I am a hosteler, so for me thee is no nightlife inside or outside the campus. We girls are not allowed to move out of the hostel after 7 PM. If there is any in campus festival then we have to take permission from our warden to stay out. There are many places to visit in Gwalior but you can visit them by day time only.

There are many companies which comes for the placement like Google Paytm Cisco etc the highest and average package as per company and profiles offered are minimum 3 lakh per annum. My plans after getting the degree is I have to do job because there is a financially problem in my life and and my family my father is a farmer and I want to become a very good child and I want to proud my dad for my work

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester onwards. Companies visiting campus are mostly mass recruiters along with a few product-based and mid-level companies. Most students receive an average package of approximately 5-6 LPA, while higher packages are offered to only a few top performers. Few seniors, whom I know got packages of 8.5 LPA, 12 LPA, and 19 LPA also, so basically higher packages are also offered but their competition is high and only some of them can make it up to that. A good percentage of eligible students receive the placement offers, mainlt in IT and service-based roles, but competition remains there, so one needs to have serious preparation on his or her own. Arond 60%+ students got placed every year from on-campuses placements. The placement cell provides training sessions and interview sessions from the third year onwards. Overall, placements can be considered decent compared to other private colleges in the region. Basically, after completing my graduation, I plan to pursue good placement otherwise prepare further for civil services after understanding career growth, however, this is not my final decision but could make a final one before the completion of course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The manit curriculum for mechanical is quite strong in basics and was a major reason i chose this course .It covers core maths ,mechanics ,physics ,electrical and wrskhopa ,which helps for higher studies and exams .Exams are frequent with midsems ,quizzes and endsems;sometimes the schedule feels packed, but it keeps us regular with the syllabus.Difficulty is moderate if you attend classes and practice .Still , some subjects feel outdated and there should be more software , projects and insustry oriented content.

Placement record is decent, campus drives happens regularly. If no campus placement is offered then it's obvious one has to struggle a bit more to get a decent job but I beleive the college makes the students capable enough to crack the campus placement if a person really is capable then their is no lack of resources from the college. Even if there is no in campus placement I think everyone has a plan B.
