Mechanical engineering in AITS udaipur

I chose Mechanical engineering course since it is a ever green course which enhances creativity and develop skills. The course taught me to the practical way of looking at a product design and manufacturing aspect. The life cycle of products and the working of machines with properties of materials suitable for the perfect mechanism. The college faculty provide us the practical courses which were job oriented. Solid works . Autocad . Communication skills. English language speaking skills. Areas of improvement in the course are that new course syllabus must be introduced. Modern technology should be adopted. Exams were conducted in every 2 months . Two internal exams including practicals . Then the final exams. The semester consists of six months. Exams were difficult.

I took admission in the college of Aravali institute of technical studies in July 2012. It was through the (pmsss) scheme. Which provided the financial assistance for the course. The academic fee of Rs 25000/semster was provided by the government. The accommodation including hostel and mess was beared by the government department. We were 22 students from our state. The faculty was very cooperative and always guided us as we were far from our home. The teaching faculty was very efficient and very friendly nature. The faculty always used to maintain decipline and attract students towards classes. There were always some extra skill development courses provided by the college. The college bear the cost of skill courses e.g Auto cad ,solidworks etc. The faculty for the communication and English was very nice and efficient. They always took extra steps to teach students the basics and advance communication skills. The faculty for the mechanical department was always concerned towards the carrier of students. They also provide us placement assistance for the students.

There was annual competition held every year at the end of the even semster . It was approximately in the month of November. There every student participate to represent it's department. E g civil, mechanical, computer, electrical etc. Games competition in cricket, volleyball, kabbadi,chess etc was held every year. The winners get awarded on the annual ceremony . The toppers of academic performance were also awarded on this ceremony.

I applied for various colleges in the scheme of pmsss which is specially for jammu and kashmir students. I got seat in AITS udaipur . There the environment was very cool and cooperative. The course was also very good and enhancing the job orientation. It was my first choice according to the pmsss scheme. College is a private college so the students get selected according to the seats available in the course.

The ratio of faculty to student was approximately 1:10. The faculty was very cooperative and understanding. Faculty always try to enhance the skills of students. Faculty was readily available and always there. I like our H.O.D sir the most. Mr.gaurav sir who always want me to do better and support and guide us in every aspect. Chirag sir,Garav sir,kalam sir were the best. I almost liked every teacher. There were two internal exams with separate theory and practical. These exams were very difficult and every one has to score a minimum to qualify for appearing in final exams. Internal exams were conducted by the college. Then there were final exams which was conducted by Rajasthan technical University. The final exam was conducted and scheduled in other colleges.

After college we get some rest . After resting for some time students go for playing in ground. There was also gym centre in the campus hostel. Campus time was from 8.am to 3.pm . Hostel was nearby campus ,the students were attending the campus regularly. The mess was attached to the hostel. It was also cafeteria. There is a park which every one love to hangout at the evening.
