Remarks
Education is good compared to other colleges. Campus life is great. The only issue here is minimum attendance. I have seen students getting detained as they failed to have 75% attendance in the semesters. Do whatever you have to, but try to keep it above 75 otherwise, it would create a lot of issued
Course Curriculum Overview
Unlike other colleges, the syllabus and subjects are selected by the father itself. Students do not get an option to select elective subjects. When I studied in this college, it had two midterms and one final semester, which is now reduced to only one mod term and one final exam. Hence students get more time to study.
Placement Experience
Companies like Infosys, Oracle, and others come for placement, I did my BCA here and oracle gives a package of 4.2 lakhs per annum where they give MacBooks to employees in the first year, and MTech from BITS PILANI while working in oracle, the MTech expense is incurred by the company for the employee.
College Events
For events and sports, this college is as good as it could get. Various events like youth fest, cult fest take place where students perform and compete with each other and get prizes for the best performances. There are judges who judge and rate the performances. Cultfest of st xaviers is quite famous
Fee Structure And Facilities
BCA here was around 16k per sem. So at the end of 3 years, around 1 lakh you would have spent on your bachelors. And considering the name and fame of St Xavier's College( as it just got the best college 5 star rating in Gujarat), the fees are much less. This college is undoubtedly one of the best colleges in Gujarat as no other college has got 5 star rating award by NIRF( national institute of the ranking framework) in Gujarat.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not get any scholarship as my marks weren't that good to get it. Though scholarship is available and I have seen students getting it.
Campus Life
It has a big campus with a cricket ground, football ground, basketball court, volleyball ground, and lawn tennis. The canteen is the best part. Prices are cheap here too. In extracurricular, one of the events is cult fest where students from different colleges participate and its usually of 3-4 days. In youthfest, its related to sports where it has different matches in cricket, football, kabaddi etc which is quite interesting.
Alumni/Alumna
In the third year, BCA students have to develop a working website or application for which outside help is necessary. And hence they should start thinking about it in the second year and start taking help from passouts or third-year students who are quite helpful as they have been through the same procedure.
Admission
There is usually no cut off to get admission here. You just have to give an entrance interview where interviewers are usually the faculties or the father itself. Basic interview which checks your knowledge based on the course you want to pursue. The difficulty level of this interview is easy to moderate.
Faculty
The faculty is quite helpful. Quite knowledgeable. Teaching is very good compared to other colleges. They help you in your final year projects where you will have to meet them at least once or twice a week after college to get help for your projects. Even for presentations, they are quite helpful and would suggest you very practical solutions
