Course Curriculum Overview

4

My subject was related to agriculture and I always wanted to do something big in this subject. That's why I chose this subject. In our subject, new techniques of farming were taught, many unique techniques were also taught which kept the students engaged in studying . Here in our field also practicals were conducted so that it would be easier for us later. Many times teachers were not able to explain things to kids, due to which there was constant confusion in the minds of students. The teachers here should take the students to the farmers' field. Because our subject was horticulture which cannot be studied in the lab, hence it is necessary to go to the field for it.Many times exams are conducted too early here due to which the students here do not get time to study. He is not able to prepare properly.Due to which he is not able to get good marks in the exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

Holkar Science College provides limited internship opportunities directly, but students are encouraged to explore external internships based on their field of study. One notable example is my internship with the **Indian Agriculture Research Institute (IARI)**, where I gained hands-on experience in seeds. During the internship, I worked on various typ of seeds .improving crop yield . While the stipend varies based on the organization, my internship offered a 10000 rupees per month. which motivated me to contribute effectively.

Placement Experience

4

Students can take placement after 5th -6th semester, Holkar Science College is decent but mainly focused on academics and research rather than placements. Companies like a eagle seeds mhyco seeds , nict technology, tcs exentra visits aur college . They mostly higher for entry level role like a lab technician , quality control associate etc. highest package 6lac - mnc company Average package 2•5 lpa Around 30% students will be placed For students who don’t get placements, many opt for higher studies (M.Sc., M.Tech.) or prepare for competitive exams like CSIR-NET, GATE, or UPSC. As for me, my plan is to be a breeder scientist

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship name ,- medhavi chhatra yojana Fees - 1 rupees Most of the children in my class were from farming families. Almost all the children in my class had availed the meritorious student scheme. Through the Medhavi Chhatra Yojana, the fees of the children used to be Rs. 1. Apart from that, students only had to pay the examination fees which used to be around Rs. 3000. And no other charges of any kind are taken from the students like lab fees etc.The admission fees used to be 500, which we had to pay online.

Admission

I had already decided that I would take admission in Holkar Science College Because I had heard a lot about this college . I came to know about this place from my sister, she too had done her graduation from here. Holkar Science College is considered the best college in Madhya Pradesh. Its faculty, its infrastructure, its labs are all very good. When I wanted to go to college after passing 12th, I got more in-depth information about this college. Then I came to know that admissions here are done on merit basis which were of 3 rounds. Despite me scoring 85%, my name did not appear in all three lists. But there is another admission round here called CLC round. Very few people know about it. That is why I got admission with 85% marks. After admission you have to pay the fees.Which is 500 rupees. The cutoff here is always 90%+.

Faculty

5

In Holkar college, separate teachers were appointed for all subjects. The teachers here used to be very friendly with the students. They used to behave as if we were their friends. Our teachers are also our friends. He always ensured that no student was left behind. Attention was paid to everyone. The teachers here did not just force students to study.Rather he used to pay attention to the overall development of the students. Among all my teachers, I liked one teacher very much whose name was Dharmendra Jaat who was a guest faculty in Holkar Science College.

Night Life

4

The nightlife around Holkar Science College in Indore is lively and safe. While the campus facilities like the library, gym, and cafeteria close by 7 PM and hostel gates shut by 10 PM, students often unwind at nearby places. Popular hangout spots include 56 Dukan for food, Sarafa Night Market for late-night snacks, and C21 Mall for movies and shopping. The area around the college is safe to explore at night, and students often enjoy group outings, making these experiences an essential part of college life.
