Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is just as relevant as any other Computer science degree course and it gives a basic foundation for academic pursuits Exams are conducted basically every other month, which I don't think is bad also difficulty level is appropriate

Internships Opportunities

4

Praedico - Exclusively provides internships, stipend - 5000 All other internship opportunities are provided by the major companies as addition to PPO Example - accenture, lti, hashedin etc Students can also choose to do major project and public research under guidance of a faculty

Placement Experience

5

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th semester Top companies are all mass recruiters - Accenture, Cognizant, LTI mindtree, Infosys, Wipro, capgemini Other companies are - hashedin, Newgen, Tejas etc Percentage varies branchwise but Computer science still has the highest percentage, I got placed too

Fees and Financial Aid

Note- This is fees I paid in 2021, this fees was exclusive to batch 2021, every year fees is increased The fees is paid per semester, with each year having 2 semesters. For the first year, the fees were higher because of admission fees. I paid ?1,13,000 for the first year, for the next three years my fees was around ?86000, divided into ?53000-55000 for first semester and ?33000 for the second. I only know about two types of scholarship which are SC-ST students can get SC-ST scholarship without any requirement of additional merit, receiving 100% refund. All Students can get merit based MMVY scholarship, Compulsory three requirements for which are 1. Achieve 85% minimum if from CBSE board or 1.Achieve 70% minimum if from MP board 2.Secure rank under 150000 in JEE mains 3.Family income lower than ?7,50,000

Campus Life

5

Multiple technical, social and cultural fests are held basically every month by clubs and societies library only has technical and engligh language books In the name of technological provisions all seminar halls have projectors and air conditioning Campus doesn't manage sports events, that is done by student clubs or socities or just a group. Electrical club, science club, IETS

Admission

In the list of choices MITS was on second, first was SGSITS, but I couldn't clear the cutoff for it CS/IT branch but I was definitely satisfied getting MITS admission process is Offline, eligibility is through JEE mains, other ways are through lateral entries from diploma courses Admission experience was quite neutral

Faculty

5

Faculty to student ratio is on the lower end, as college does to tend to take in a lot of students There were many great faculties Mid sem exams are moderate to hard while end sems are easy to moderate although the fail ratio varies branch wise but not a single branch has all its students pass Course curriculum is definitely not up to the date with latest immediate technologies but since institute is autonomous they can and do update it every year

Night Life

5

There's only one Open Gym, One library campus timing - 9 am to 6 pm hangout places are canteen and shops, campus also has multiple parks, Locality is mostly safe as it is quite literally in major part of city

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester onwards. Companies visiting campus are mostly mass recruiters along with a few product-based and mid-level companies. Most students receive an average package of approximately 5-6 LPA, while higher packages are offered to only a few top performers. Few seniors, whom I know got packages of 8.5 LPA, 12 LPA, and 19 LPA also, so basically higher packages are also offered but their competition is high and only some of them can make it up to that. A good percentage of eligible students receive the placement offers, mainlt in IT and service-based roles, but competition remains there, so one needs to have serious preparation on his or her own. Arond 60%+ students got placed every year from on-campuses placements. The placement cell provides training sessions and interview sessions from the third year onwards. Overall, placements can be considered decent compared to other private colleges in the region. Basically, after completing my graduation, I plan to pursue good placement otherwise prepare further for civil services after understanding career growth, however, this is not my final decision but could make a final one before the completion of course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The manit curriculum for mechanical is quite strong in basics and was a major reason i chose this course .It covers core maths ,mechanics ,physics ,electrical and wrskhopa ,which helps for higher studies and exams .Exams are frequent with midsems ,quizzes and endsems;sometimes the schedule feels packed, but it keeps us regular with the syllabus.Difficulty is moderate if you attend classes and practice .Still , some subjects feel outdated and there should be more software , projects and insustry oriented content.

Placement record is decent, campus drives happens regularly. If no campus placement is offered then it's obvious one has to struggle a bit more to get a decent job but I beleive the college makes the students capable enough to crack the campus placement if a person really is capable then their is no lack of resources from the college. Even if there is no in campus placement I think everyone has a plan B.
