Focus on architectural development and processes of developing your designs
Great visiting faculties with years of practice and they give proper guidance to your project
The college alumni and seniors and like a close knit family everyone helps each other and you can ask anyone in the college for your help they is open to help all the time

Dislikes

There is no campus life there are rarely any events in college
There is no focus on sports or extracurricular activities
The course needs a lot of your time and having a proper social life is difficult

The course is a very open ended and have many intangible aspects you have to deal with The faulty is strict and does not losen themself during the design process and critisize your work at each and every step

Internships Opportunities

The college name is very reputed and carries a lot of weight in almost all the architectural firms in Mumbai Having a good portfolio is the only thing you need to get a internship The college name will get you into the door but your work is something that has to speak in its own

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees is 2L per annum for open category For ews certificate the fees is 1L annum For obc the fees is 60-70k per annum For SC/ST the fees is 7-8k per annum There are no specials aid's on marks in entrance exams

Campus Life

The college has a student council which keeps events on regular basis They try and give the students exposure on different aspects of college life The college also has a green club which keep drives and conventions to create awareness

Admission

This was the only college I applied to and I got into the college in the first round itself The others college don't focus on architectural design as much and focus on different aspects of architecture

Faculty

The faculty ratio is 1:10/12 Everyone gets attention on a weekly basis Exams are not the main priority in college the juries are more important Exams are once a every Semester and there are 3 exams in 1st year and from the 2nd year there are 4 exam cams per sem

Night Life

The college is located in heart of Juhu and the area around the campus is pleasant and soothing The college has shops nearby and come in very handy The college has permission till 6pm The locality around the campus is super safe there is patrolling going around in the night as well

The reason i choose architecture because it fascinates me how a place can be developed into holistic place interests me . The curriculum has some good inputs but it doesn't make you industry ready extra efforts should be taken to learn advance softwares extra classes newer research etc discussion on advance technology becomes important in modern age how architecture is changing is not discussed

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of exam is twice a semester and good enough. Guest lectures are good and helpful for the future preparation.There must be a change in teaching styles of the faculty and more site based experiments through the course for better understanding than only in class studies , the beauty of historical buldings made me wonder about this course

Placement Experience:

For architecure departments, usually there are no placements, but since this Institute is autonomous, they have startes conducting placements drive. Last year 10/12 students were placed in good firms all over banglore, pune, kolhapur. I plan on applying to different firms all over Maharashtra and would also hope to get placement via college since the packages that are offered are good. Placement percentage is anywhere between 12-15%. The highest package offered was around 5,40,000, average package for a architecture student would be-around 3lakhs.

Placement Experience:

There is no campus placement for architecture students. After completion of the degree, one can apply for jobs or opt for masters. Architects get an average starting salary of 20-25 thousand. The course is pretty expensive including college fees and printing prices. One can also open a private firm and earn enough money. There are very few open students getting placed. My plans after getting a degree are to apply for masters. For a teaching job, one must complete masters.

i chose architecture because its the combination of both creative and technical knowledge. The college helps you boost your imagination, helps with practical knowledge, lot of interaction with the faculty, best library about architecture in Maharashtra, and is one of the best. there are some subjects where you really need to boost your imagination. we do lot of experiments, there are encounters every week where renowned people from different programs come to talk about their works which inspires you a lot. educational trips are the best, whole new world.Seniors are so cool, they help you out during the course whenever you approach them.
