- Department of Nutrition in IT College is the oldest and most renowned all over, moreover the professors are extremely learned and worthy of learning under.
- The course is affordable comparing with other universities. Also the pedagogy is student centred, and students can easily have their balance with schedule.
- The curriculum is excellent. Regular seminars, certificate courses, events, competition are also held.

Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum designed flawlessly yet there can be better implementation. The arenas which students can pursue after this course include: Clinical Nutritionist, Community Nutritionist, Public Health Nutritionist, JRF, Phd. Scholar, Sports Nutrition, Project And Research Work, Assistant Professor after NET exam You'll be requiring 6months internship before actual job. Exams are of moderate difficulty, subjective questions only,1 internal and 1 main exams once a semester.
Internships Opportunities
There's no surety of internship or placement provision. For 6 months internship, opportunity to give entrace exam of PGI Chandigarh is provided which is held in Delhi And selected students can pursue internship at PGI Chandigarh. The internship needs students to pay for it.
Fees and Financial Aid
Th The Msc. 1st year: Rs. 38600/- Msc. 2nd year: Rs. 37900/- To be paid through demand draft in favour of Isabella Thoburn College College SGA Fees:- Rs. 1000/- per year To be paid through UPI Other fees include:- Rs. 100/- for Library card per year Identity Card:- Rs. 150/- in the first year only. The above fee structure is as of being followed in the session 2023- 2025. Scholarship Details- Students can fill UP Scholarship for all general and minority categories. Eligibility is for those students whose parent's income is less than 2lakh per annum and student's attendance is minimum 75% for the application year. The scholarship amount is not fixed and provided by goverment according to availability of funds. However it is not sure that each student filling scholarship will attain it
Campus Life
Annual events are majorly cantata and Christmas week, others include Aura, and School or Department fetes. Every department has their societies or clubs, however overall college activities are look after by SGA or Student Government Association. Infrastructure needs to be better maintained.
Admission
It is the oldest and most renowned college in Lucknow when it comes to Nutrition. The admission is through entrance exam and merit list is given accordingly. The eligibilty is PCB in 12th, BSc. Nutrition or Home science as Nutrition majors with min. 50-55% result. BSc. Zoology or any other biology stream without nutrition students aren't given admission to Msc. Nutrition.
Faculty
Nutrition Department Faculty structure includes HoD, 2 senior Professor and 2 Assistant Professor. The professors are quite learned, experienced and focus on student centred learning module. Msc. Exam schedule includes 1 mid-term with 2 units (mostly) out of 5 (total) These contribute to 15 marks 1 Assignment with Presentation on a given topic in front of class. This adds up to 10 marks Main University exams under Lucknow University These are of 70 marks Attendance 5 marks
Night Life
I'm a day scholar so I cannot give a first hand experience. Although all necessary facilities are provided to hostelers. Cafeteria is open only during daytime for all college students. For hostelers there's mess with cyclic menu. Going outside college is prohibited after 5pm
