Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is okay but it can be advanced according to me. More practical knowledge needs to be added. If I talk about my course which is Bachelor in arts then our final exams only take place once a year and minor exams for assessment also once a year because we follow an annual system. Each year has 2 semesters so they double the amount we have.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am pursuing my bachelor in arts so my fees are very low which amounts to around 2000 to 3000 per year. But the other courses such as BA have higher fees around 12000 to 20000 depending upon your seat.
Campus Life
There are a lot of clubs to join and many activities you can take part in. Extracurricular activities and sports are very efficient here and every significant festival is celebrated adequately. There is a good library too in the college.
Admission
This college is the only centre of excellence in the northern region of India which gives it a good place academically. Furthermore, it is nearer to me as I'm from shimla only. But I did opt for Panjab University and even got selected but did not join it due to some personal reasons.
Faculty
Most of the faculty memebers seem to be good at teaching and are cooperative with students. They provide a good environment for learning. But the faculty to student ratio seems off because there are a lot of students in the college. Exams are not that difficult but also not easy and not a lot of students fail.
Night Life
There is only a hostel for boys and not for girls which can be improved by establishing one. Other than that there is not such night life because most of the students come from there home instead of hostels.
