Course Curriculum Overview

3

I got a 30175 rank in JEE Mains, so the best option I got is mechanical engineering at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, so I decided to do it. I also got computer science in IET Lucknow and in HBTI Kanpur, but I prefer NIT Tag. I also choose mechanical engineering because I love machines. I am in my first year, so the curriculum is very simple. You have 5 to 6 classes in a day, each of 45 minutes, and the teacher takes attendance in a class. 75 percent attendance is very necessary in a class because without it you cannot give an exam. You have 3 to 4 classes before lunch and 2 after lunch.Classes start at 9 am, and lunches start at 12 or 1 pm. According to you, class ends at 2:30 pm. Between lunch, you have to go to the hostel and take it. Inlass curriculums, they can improve things like removing useless subjects like biology and environmental science because BTech students do not need them. They introduce programming in the future and then can also remove 75 percent of attendance in class. In the semester, you have to give Mia a minimum of 10 marks, which are taken after one month of the start of the semester, and after two months, you have to give Mia a mid-semester 20 marks. And after one month, you have to give an end-semester 40 marks.??? Restarts are in the subject teacher's hand, and he gives them on the basis of attendance, assignments, etc. Exams are not too much; you can solve them with basic knowledge. Most of the questions were thinking-based; you can do it. checking too tough; some teachers give marks on wrong answers, also, but some cut. Your remarks are even; your answer is right. They also fail those students whom they want to take revenge on. My language teacher want to take revenge from me so he give me zero in mini test all the rest class got full marks so if you got less marks don't worry just work on your skills and cgpa will be make relatively so all got the good cgpa .

Internships Opportunities

4

Yes, MANIT (Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology) Bhopal offers internship opportunities for its students. Typically, internships are an integral part of the curriculum in engineering and technology programs. Most students at MANIT Bhopal start applying for internships during their third year (6th semester) of the undergraduate program. However, some students may also seek internships during their second year, particularly during summer breaks, to gain early exposure to industry practices internship availability can vary by department and industry connections, so it's advisable for students to check with their respective departments or the placement cell for specific opportunities and timeline .YouTube, Google, Udemy, and Coursera, you can find a lot if you just look for the internet. The idea is to get familiar with what you want to apply for that when a company is interviewing you, they don’t get a blank place to start from scratch. They would love to have someone who knows at least some basics and will grab things easily.

Placement Experience

4

Placement of our college is fair enough; most of the students in every branch got placed. The complete science average package is about 27 lakh, and more than 90 percent of students got placed in the electrical and communication branch. The average package is 14.50 LPA, and the electrical engineering branch has 13.32 LPA, and the MME branch has 8.50 LPA, and mechanical engineering has 10 LPA. 200 companies visit our campus, like Goldman Sachs, Flipkart, Microsoft, Deutsche Bank, Bajaj, etc. From the 3rd year, students start getting jobs and internships. The overall average package of our college is 15 LPA, and the highest package from computer science is 82 LPA, and from the ECE and EEE branches is 52 LPA, and from the mechanical engineering branch is 19 LPA. About 73 percent of students get placed in 2024, and in 2023 it was 83.12 percent. After bBTech, decided to prepare for foreign studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Actually, my father's income certificate is less than one lakh, so I get a relaxation in tuition fees, but I have to pay 8000 for academics per semester, 7500 per month for a hostel, and 27500 per year for a mess. So I pay 98300 per year according to college. If your income certificate is more than 5 lakh, then you have to pay full tuition fees, and if it is between 1 to 5 lakh, then 50 percent of tuition fees and less than 1 lakh, and for SC/ST, no tuition fees. I apply for the UP scholarship, and some of my friends apply for the Reliance, ONGC, and other state scholarships, and they get them.

Campus Life

4

In MANIT, there are lots of opportunities, like robotics clubs, and the mechanical department has a newly developed building. Labs have all the equipment, and it is a Wi-Fi-enabled department. The speed of Wi-Fi is around 80 Mbps. Some hostels have Wi-Fi facilities, while some have LAN-based systems. As I am in Hostel No. 4, it has a LAN system. At night, we have night canteen facilities. We have a basketball court and a badminton court. We also have a dispensary in the college, which is free of cost. However, the quality of hostel food is very bad, so be a day scholar if possible. The events were very good, like Maffick. In 2024, celebrities like Holy and Stabin Ben were invited. MANIT also has a Hindi fest called Tooranad, which is awesome. In February we have a summit where founders of many companies visit our campus, and after that we have a tech fest and many more.

Hostel Facilities

1

I am in the H4 hostel of MANIT, and the room is only made for one person, but it is double occupancy. We have to share cowards. My room has 2 single beds, and on both side walls we have LAN cable connections. Food from our mess is very bad. We also have a mess community, but members do not work properly. Mess rent is 27500, and room rent is 7500 per month. Try to be a day scholar. The menu of the mess changes every week, but the taste is worse. When you take admission, the hostel will be allotted, and at the same time, you have to pay the mess fees; otherwise, you do not get the hostel.

Admission

I give the JEE exam, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency, twice a year: shift one and shift two. In shift one, I got the 98.09 percentile, and in shift two, I got the 96 percentile. In the final result, the best of the two percentiles is chosen; mine is the 98.09 percentile, so I got a 30175 rank in India in advance. I got 22224 rank, so pick the college by JEE main rank for college. You have to sit in JOSAA and CSAB counseling, and from that, I got Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal. I also got admission in IET Lucknow and in HBTI Kanpur in computer science courses, but I chose NIT Tag and mechanical engineering at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal. I also got civil engineering in NIT Jaipur, NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Rourkela, and many more, but Bhopal is near to my hometown, so I prefer NIT Bhopal. My rank is too much in advance, so I only got lower branches in IITs.In the Jossar round, I got NIT Agartala for computer science, but my parents refused it, and in the CSAB round, I got NIT Bhopal.

Faculty

4

In the first-year class of 111 students, one teacher gets one teacher. The teacher has knowledge, but they don't know how to teach. We have to study useless subjects like biology and environmental science. My favorite teacher is the math teacher named Mr. Kuldeep Yadav, sir. His teaching skills were fabulous. Our EVS teacher is also good because they give marks on anything. But our basic electrical engineering faculty is worse; he doesn't know how to teach, and he does not give marks in exams even if your answer is right. In one semester, you have to give a mini test of 10 marks, a midterm exam of 20 marks, and an end-semester exam of 40 marks. The rest of the marks are given according to attendance, assignments, etc. The exams were easy, not too tough; you can do it on your basic knowledge. Checking of paper depends on the examiner's mood; if he is good, then you get good marks, and if not, then you may fail. But CGPA is relatively in class. In a batch of 111 students, 3 to 4 students fail the exam.

Night Life

5

Manit is strict for first-year students. After 6 pm, boys cannot go outside of the hostel; they have to pack in a hostel. For the first year, you were only allowed to go from college to hostel and hostel to college. If you wanted to go far to a market, you had to take permission from the warden and give the application. You are not allowed to meet the senior. But at the time of college, you can go anywhere because no one checks where you are going. But be aware of seniors because if they meet, then they can do anything with you, and no one cares after that. Gym is not allowed for the first year after the second year recruitment starts; for the gym, only specific students are allowed. Sports complex also not for first year. In the daytime, you can hang out with your friends in Nescafe, Top and Town, Dasa, and PMC.

It builds strong theoretical foundations usefull for competitive exam and higher studies, but industry - oriented skills required. They want to focus on pratical learning. Exams are conducted twice per semester ( mid sem or end sem ) with moderate difficulty.

The manit curriculum for mechanical is quite strong in basics and was a major reason i chose this course .It covers core maths ,mechanics ,physics ,electrical and wrskhopa ,which helps for higher studies and exams .Exams are frequent with midsems ,quizzes and endsems;sometimes the schedule feels packed, but it keeps us regular with the syllabus.Difficulty is moderate if you attend classes and practice .Still , some subjects feel outdated and there should be more software , projects and insustry oriented content.
