Course Curriculum Overview

The significant need of electricity and other heavy machines electrical engeneering provide me a good knowlage about machineries and others things This course gives fulled details about the structure and the mecnasim of the particular machine

This collage provide a excell course in civil electrical engeneering admission feed 1200 and admission form fill up 450 and for sitting the flexam fees are asked scholarship are provided to lower caste scolar ship like Swami Vivekanand and others are proveide

As all the colages the holidays are provided for summer and for other puja vacations the social groups are created for the improvement of students and to keep students informed what is happening in college

Admission

Being an fresher i only applied for this collage because this provided me a good course and also made more conscious about my education And thankfully i got this collage and happy with it Thanks to council giving me an opportunity to read in this collage

Faculty

Fecaulty are very high educated and also very good The exam structure are like first internal and second internal which carris 40 marks and semister exam which carries of 60 marks makes total of 100 marks

Night Life

The games and sports are also organised by the collage and if the will is there u can also perform the tranning session at the night hostel are also available for the students who are from the far away

My Experience at TPI as a 3rd Year Diploma Undergrad

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good. Big names are associated with TPI for campus placements. But for Computer Science students, very few companies arrive, that too with very less salaries. (not worth it). It is generally reccomendable if you can do a Btech is come college and work on your skills there, your employbility gets higher. Highest package from Computer Science is 20 LPA (off-campus) and lowest package is 1.8 LPA (on-campus). Generally on campus placements range from 2 to 3 LPA.

Best start for a professional life

Placement Experience:

From fifth semester semester students became eligible for campus drive recruitment. And college also started campus drive. As i earlier mentioned that campus drive are not that much satisfying at all during 2012-2014. I was passed out at 2014 & in my time there's only one company came for civil engineering branch except that all are IT companies. For electronics & telecommunication and Computer science student there's lots of scope at that period. Some of them got package of 3.6 lakh per annum which may be the highest package as far as i know during my days. In an average we get 2 lakh per annum package. I just set one campus drive recruitment of Printika pvt. Ltd. which recruited almost 15 civil engineer from our branch. They offered 2 lakh per annum package to all. As a percentage of placed student from my branch is almost 20%. Overall from 2014 batch it'll be 30-50%. Unfortunately i didn't placed from that placement drive as I'm planning for higher study.

The Life at Darjeeling Polytechnic Institute

I had applied to Siliguri Institue of Engineering in Salbari, West Bengal and I got a confirmation from Darjeeling Polytechnic Institute. I had to apply to this institute because of finnancial problems. No, I was not rejected but I was facing some finnancial problems due to which I was not able to join the college. You need to have atleast 70% on your matriculation to be to fill up the registration form.
