The college is very bad and not suitable. I suggest everyone to stay away from this college. This college foundations are not that was of before. Politics has torn the name of this college. No placements available makes this college more shit.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have Economics and History as second and third subjects respectively. The college is under Calcutta University. The exams are quite tough. To pass on First Division is a miracle. The college has only 1 student every year who passes in the first division with the most marks.
Placement Experience
Our college does not provide any type of internship. Not a single company has come over the last 15 years. There has been no placements and no job opportunities made available by the college. The college makes a lot of fake promises.
College Events
The events celebrated in our college are: Saraswati puja, Fresher's Party, Foundation Day, Durga Puja, Rabindra Jayanti, May Day, Republic day, Independence day, Rakshabandhan, Birth Anniversary of Dr.B.C.Roy, and many others.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is quite low because it is a government college. But they charge a little extra in the name of student union in which we have no part. Actually they extract that amount which directly goes to the party offices.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no scholarship offered by the college. The college authorities at the time of admission say that they will provide scholarship. But they don't do such once we get admitted. They trap students like this.
Campus Life
The labs are so outdated. There is no computer lab. The library doesn't even have a decent computer. Neither do they have a good wifi server. There are some events on sports days. They are just for show.
Hostel Facilities
No. There is no such facility provided by the college. The college itself is in grave disorder. I don't think the college authority could manage a hostel with it. There are no paying guest accommodation also nearby.
Alumni/Alumna
Their is a high level of ragging and politics present in the college. The college authorities don't pay any heed to this situation whatsoever. The senior students are always bullying junior students. They make the juniors do dirty things.
Admission
The college does admission through its own website. I provided the necessary details. I had to give my parents names,the marks i obtained,the annual family income, etc. I got chance in the first merit list.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is not up to the standards. The college is full of politics. The staff of the college are not helpful. The library is also very bad. The classrooms are also not very hygienic.
