Course Curriculum Overview

4

The professors are often NLU graduates and out cillege has ties with Nlu blr the main reason why I chose this college. The paper being difficult are a little tough to crack and we are often given chance to re write through back exams. I think many laws whivh are not invluded in other colleges are being taught here one such example being Taxation law thus i really think this curriculam will help us.

Fees and Financial Aid

1,10,000 fir non karnataka students 75,000 for karnataka students It is increasing but is not effective till now 1,50,000 for non karnataka students 85 000 for karnataka students Scholarship avaliable on merit basis

Campus Life

2

We do have freshers and farwells parties usially orgai zed by the students themselves wigh the full suppoort and hwlp of thw faculty and college management. We dont have fests or other events but we can attend fests of Christ university. We do have moot court club and cultural event committiee they do conduct cultural days, legal aids and other days.

Admission

I did get into OP JINDAL, KIIT, IFIM and NMIMS pune but due to some personal reasons couldnt join there. One of the reason joining thsi college was the fee structure and second its ties with NLU blr which is one of teh best law college. The overall admission is a smooth process as they consider your CLAT AND LSAT scores (i received 96 percentile in LSAT). You do have certain cutoff which keeps on changing. After the screening procesa u are usually called for interview round.

Faculty

5

We follow Karnataka state law university syllabus and our exams are also based on it. Our papers are graded outside. It is usually difgicult to crack exams if not well prepared. The exams are divided into 2 parts internal and externals

Interview Experience

4

I did have an interview for which i was asked about myself and about the general knowledge in law and current affair. I did prepare for the interview while preparing for my CLAt exam so it was a bit easier for me.

Night Life

2

So we dont have hostels in campus so night life totally depends on the area u are staying at. BLR is well known for its nightlife and it delivers what it promises. The library in our campus is open till 5 in the evening and has wifi and co.puter access

Placement Experience:

The placements of Christ University Bangalore, are pretty decent. Students are eligible to get placements for the 9th semester, and there are a lot of companies that come for campus placements like Shardul Amrchnad Mangaldas and Cyril Amrchand Mangaldas, Khaitan, Puviyah and co., Trilegal and etc. The highest placement that went last year was 23 lakh, and the average placement is 6-7 lakhs. My plan is to do litigation after getting a degree.

It's the law firms like Wadia Gandhy, Dsk Legal, Trilegal and others. Some merchant bankers too are now a part of our placements thing and this is where it is getting interested as we are getting to explore new opportunities. Pay as of now is around 4-5 LPA but I hope it increases to atleast 10 by 2030.

Placements are okay not so good because of the field as Law doesn't have much placements because it is only given in corporate sector and other things people only have to get employment like for Self employment.

The university has a placement cell which is helpful. They help us get internships in which place we want (only if we are eligible). The placements are nice which are reported by the seniors. We got to know that most of the seniors had a starting package of 7L per annum.

Mostly it's the law firms like Indus Law, Globus, PICT and others. The payment scale therefore is less when it is compared with NLSIU or other NLUs. Some private companies like the UB Group and ITC amoung other others are also coming to hire students who have chosen corporate law as their main electives.
