Remarks

No, There is nothing negative except of too much lab works in front of computers we have to do so many things for 10-12 hours daily not getting Time to family so the only negative point about this college

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is curriculum is best in india for Bioinformatics studies.there are semester pattern here each semester you have get some elective courses and at second year you have to done with project.

No, college doesn't provide internships but jobs and placement cell is good ,they are trying to attract more and more companies towards the college so almost everyone got job.There is no scarcity of job in this field

There are not much events celebrated it is an professional course so there are strict rules of studies in respect to that there are a week sports event and a week of biofest which is organised by university of pune

Fee structure are not too expensive for students is Maharashtra. students from other than Maharashtra don't approach to these course.fees are too high for them and seats are very less 1 or atmost 2.

No ,I had not availed any scholarship but there is hardly any SCHOLARSHIP facility by college rest who are in government criteria so if you are in general category and want good scholarship you cannot get it.

Extracurricular activities are so less in this department so who want to enjoy college life don't come here.lab work is too much time consuming so if you have ability to stick to chair for 8-12 hours a day you are. Most welcome

Yes,almuni network is too strong.We have big almuni conference this year.There are very big group of almuni from 1982 till now so this can help too much in getting ahead in this field.we have strong connection with them

Admission

There is entrance exam for getting admission and then on your entrance exam marks as per government criteria there are two merit lists are there and then you have to fill admission form and verification of documents to be done

Faculty

Faculty of college is best.they are very experienced.very rare students hot these type of teachers so they are best adviser and we got total support and guidance from them to do our work.Non teaching staff is also good

A campus life you must live once in your life - Fergusson College

Placement Experience:

Placements in Fergusson are pretty good. Students are eligible for sitting in the placement drives from the 3rd semester, we also get Pre-placment activities and tests before the drive starts. We get companies like Axtria, Vois , bluepineapple etc on campus. The highest package is 10 - 12 lakhs and 4-6 lakhs on an average. In my batch out of the 30 people we 20 are placed so far on campus.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the GIPE are decent. This year the highest package offered was 18 lakhs per annum by Deloitte and IDFC FIRST Bank. Although the placements are not 100% but it's around 60%. Students need to work hard and score well in aptitude test and they should start the preparation from the second semester onwards so that they can easily manage their end semester exams as well as the aptitude test. The average placement package is around 8-9 lakhs. My plan is to get a corporate job and gain some experience and exposure in the corporate world and learn how the things actually work. Many companies that come to the college are looking for data analytics role. The ratio of the companies looking for consultant, risk analyst is less based on market demand and other circumstances.

By the end of sem3 itself, the postgraduates are deployed into interviews for certain internships. But if you are with good academic scores and knowledge you can even get directly placed. Every individual is given 3 chances by the college to get and crack the interview but if the student is not able to then he is guided to where to apply but mostly ICRI makes sure everyone is placed as the college proudly stays with its 100% placement tag line. As I told here there are varied background people here with different needs of roles, the highest package I have seen getting is 15L pa to the lowest of 3L pa which even depends upon the company to your broad spectrum of knowledge. To specify which companies come here for recruitment are sun pharma, Cipla, and many more there are all 20+ companies that come and hire the intellectuals. To specify about me I am planning to get a CRC post as a start for CRA in the future.

PG not given any campus you will get a job on your ability. We have to prepare for set net after MSc but there are some companies visited college like Wipro. They provide job but the salary is around 25000 per month.

A good choice for bachelors study for regular BSc

Compare to other colleges at least for regular BSc this college is slightly higher reputed at present now. Other colleges like the KK wagh is engineering College while others don't have hostel facilities. The city is also more affordable but still standard compared to other education hub like Pune. Hence for regular BSc course even if anyone got delayed admission can be taken first in any other course in the college and then within the department by cancelling the first chosen course.
