IITM review

There are many positives about our college. The college not only provides academics but also focuses on the all round development of students. Research opportunities, placements/internships in campus are quite good and best.

The course curriculum is quite good. The course is 4 years and they have made it quite flexible starting from our year. Infact I can confidently say that our curriculum will is the most flexible one compared to any other college. The entrance exam has 3 subjects namely Maths, Physics and Chemistry. It is an objective exam and exact pattern will differ from year to year

The overall placements and internships are top notch and in fact best in the country. Yes, the college provides internships similar to the placements. The overall internship experience was great and the average stipend stands at 80k per month

For the outsiders, there are 2 main events in our campus. Shaastra and Saarang. Shaastra is our technical fest and Saarang is out cultural fest. These fests will happen either in the last week of December or in the first week of January. Apart from these there will be department level fests as well.

It was feasible when I joined, as I had to pay only 50k fees for tuition fees and 25k for hostel fees. But after our year, they increased the tuition fees to almost 1.25 lakhs per semester making it very expensive.

When I joined if the parents income is below certain amount then entire Tution fees is waived off. Depending on the parents income, government will provide some scholarship(not entire amount) and they call it as MCM. But there is an option to avail interest free loan at bank or through govt

Extra curricular activities in colleges are quite good. Some or other activity will be going on in college through out the year. Even sports are quite good. Name a sport and you will have a facility/ground/coach for that sport. Interested students will be taking constant coaching to compete in inter IIT

Yes. The hostel infrastructure is not great but it is definitely livable. It's not great but you will not have any complaints as well. But there are many options for food within the campus itself with affordable rates.

The alumni network is really strong and are quite helpful. Most of the old alumni give back to insti to build infrastructure or give scholarships to students. Infact if you ping any senior, they will be ready to give you a referral.

There will be all India wide test called MAINS. The top 1,50,000 students from this exam will have to take another test called ADVANCED. The admission to our university will be dependent on the rankings in ADVANCED

Faculty in the college are top level academicians. Though some are not good at teaching, they compensate it by doing research extremely well. Almost all the profs encourage us to take up research projects.
