Likes
- The campus is covered with trees and the preservation of British architectural buildings are really effective.
- There are more new infusion of new blooded teaching faculty and we get to experience good lectures.
- The placements are supper good , more reputed firms such as Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, Accenture, Standard chartered Bank were there for hiring.
Dislikes
- My Government aided stream is filled with old and obsolete teaching faculties who are still in 1980's and there were not able to cope up with new stuffs.
- The course curriculum is somewhat outdated and it needs improvement.
- Sometimes I feel sad being in boys college as there is no Co-ed.
Course Curriculum Overview
The relevance with the real time scenario or to the real time trends are not upto the mark and It would be great if they restructure the curriculum and remove old and useless stuffs such as allotment of shares which is not even in practice and teach as real world problems.
Placement Experience
Placements and the company's coming for hiring are really great. Goldman Sachs and Accenture are the highest package offereres with 8 to 9.5 LPA. The Average package would be around 4 LPA to 6 LPA. There were like 30 companies approach till date.
Fees and Financial Aid
I got into Govt aided , so it's more affordable and I have no burden in semester payment. I got into the Govt aided batch through merit and still I didn't got any scholarship due to income criteria and I don't worry about those scholarship
Campus Life
The library and other facilities are top notch and I utilise them effectively. There is also digital library offered by our college. The club activities and extracurricular activities and college ( inter college and outside) events are highly supported by college management.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is good and the fees starts with 1,20,000 which includes the food and the menu is made with due care and high quality. The locality is filled with many PG hostels and other rental rooms in affordable rates.
Admission
I Chose this college due to the following reasons: 1, Prestigious and reputed institute 2,Contacts and new environment Located in the heart of chennai and it would be easier for me to go for any coaching institutes.
Faculty
The Non teaching faculties are far better than teaching faculties in terms of doing justice to their respective jobs. The students are around 80 per class. The faculties are friendly. The clearing the exams are easy and the course curriculum is based in LOCF pattern.
Night Life
The cafeteria, library, hostel are really excellent. The campus timeing for furat shift is from 8.15Am till 1pm and for the second shift it's from 1.30pm till 6.30 pm. The locality is much safer and many more things to explore.
