What Students Say

Likes

Infrastructure is very good and well maintained
Classes are air conditioned and well structured
Teachers are very helpful and always guide the students.

Dislikes

Placements are very poor if i talk about placement rate is about only 25-30%
Classes are very hectic, about 25-30 lectures per week.
Attendance criteria is 75% which is very important to maintain otherwise you can’t give exams

Placement Experience

Placements are not that good as we hears, if i talk about placementr rate is about 25-30%. Placements could be significantly improved, as many students struggle to secure positions in reputed companies with competitive packages.

Fees and Financial Aid

So the course fee per semester is 106000 with exam fee 2500 for BE-CSE only and with this they ask 100000 for placement in 3rd year, other than that no extra fee. There is a exam called cucet in their own website that will be offer you upto 100% scholarship.

Campus Life

Campus life is very great and vibrant social interactions, active club involvement and decent infrastructure. Annual festivals and technical events usually held in months. The libraries and classrooms are well air conditioned and well maintained

Admission

I chose this college over others due to its excellent reputation, industry focused curriculum. I applied to DU but their cut offs were so high sp that's why i came here. My college has an scholarship exam also named cucet on their own college website.

Faculty

Faculty is very good and helpful in every situation and they always helps the students in projects and research papers. There held exams every month, first MST-1 then another month MST-2 then practical exams and then final exams. So whole semester is very hectic.

Night Life

Nightlife around the campus is quiet but enjoyable. Cafeterias and public areas typically close at 8 pm. Hostel timings are also very strict, ensuring students safety. The locality is generally safe for nighttime outings, but students are advised to stay cautious when venturing out late.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Placement Experience:

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
