Remarks

This is one of the top college in city. Only negative i can see is that more marks based college rather than knowledge. Thats not a issue too because it all because of parents pressure only. Good thing is the breakfast and lunch they provide which is a healthy food.

3.5

Based on Anna university 8 semester are there. First 2 semester are common for all departments. Only from 3rd sem we will be having our department related subjects. In final year we will have a project work.

All festivals like diwali, christmas, pongal, vinayagar chaturthi etc are all celebrated here. Even during republic and independence day they conduct huge parade ceremony followed by flag hoisting and at last distribution of sweeys to all who ate present in the celebration.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is little bit high as the standard is high but overall for hostel studens they collect 1.5lakh per year including all. No extra will be collected between the months in a term. Food is the best thing given in this college. Overall it is feasible

Fees and Financial Aid

For christians and muslims minority scholarship will be given. For all students there is scholarship available For sc/st full fees itself is given as a scholarship for but govt seat and management seats.

Campus Life

3.5

labs are of high standards because all experiment as per syllabus is available in labs. Extra curricular activities like NCC, NSS, BASKETBALL, FOOTBALL, HOCKEY, CRICKET is available for students. They can play these after 3pM daily

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is not strong. But if we keep in touch with our seniors they might be helful in getting projects done AnD for getting jobs after the completion of course. Overall comments about alumni network is they are helpful if we keep in touch with them.

Admission

I got admission by attending the Anna university counselling which is based on my 12th std marks. Through that i got this College and selected aeronautical course as it is a favourite field i loved to know about.

Faculty

4

One of the best faculties are available in this College. All kinds of laboratory facilities are available here. Hence we get more exposure to hands on training on the lab experiments. We also have staffs who are really deserved to work in good will for us.

Placement Experience:

B.tech students will be eligible after they complete their credits before the 3rd year and usually that is the period during which they will be eligible for placements. For integrated M.tech it might be after the 4th year in 5th year, they could get a year for internships which is good for students. This might be considered as my interest in this course. The placement is around 95 percent. My plans after getting the degree is to become a highly skilled person and to get a job in google. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, etc place our campus. There are no such companies that visited and made no offers.

Placement Experience:

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

ECE is a core subject in the upcoming technologies like the semiconductor field etc. which is why I chose this branch. VIT has a lot of labs and equipment that enables a person to learn and grasp practical knowledge faster. The teaching methods include using a PPT and using a white board . Sometimes flip classes are done when students explain topics. The 2nd open book test is the toughest in difficulty level when compared to exam 1 and the final test.
