Course Curriculum Overview
Instrumentation course is basically a mixture of all other departments like IT, EEE, Mechanical and ECE. Instrumentation subjects were easy to understand. Coming to curriculum there were 8 semesters. In each semester there will be around 6 subjects and 3 labs. Grade systems were E to S with E being the lowest and S being the highest. A grade of you means you have to reappear for the exam in next semester.
Placement Experience
Placements were decent mostly IT companies like wipro, Infosys will take large group of people after some simple few tests and interview. I joined IT company eventhough I am from EIE because there weren't opportunities for my core field. Internship and stipend was available but I didn't take it. Stipend amount is nearly 13000 rupees.
College Events
Frequently symposiums will be conducted in a big level. Cultural was arranged once in my four years college life but it was an awesome 3 days. It's so big that various other college students come here and participate. Prizes were there given by special guests.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee Structure seems to be moderate but it's worth it because it includes food and travel which is very good. A total of around 70k to 90k will be included in fee structure. Food and transportation are mandatory.
Fees and Financial Aid
As far as I know there weren't any scholarships offered by college availed to students. May be it is present there and I am not aware of it. Loans can be applied to the Indian bank branch present in college campus.
Campus Life
There are almost equal boys and girls in the college. Students are mostly hindus, muslims and few Christans. Many students are politically active and they participate in college election. In the month of February college week starts. Many sports are played and students are given prizes
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni students comes once in a while and give their opinion and what to do and what not to do and give advice to the students. It's really helpful meeting seniors who joined big companies because their advice mattered a lot.
Admission
I scored 185 cut off marks out of 200 in my 12 th standard. Applied for counseling in Anna University. In 2012 my college was ranked 8th in tamilnadu so all department seats were filled for BC. I had a choice to choose between EIE and IT. I choose EIE after had a discussion with my 12th school teachers.
Faculty
Almost all Faculties are very well knowledged with few exceptional cases. There are certain college rules which faculties all should follow so it's kind of strict for everyone. All lab technicians were very well knowledged and always help to students when there is an issue with equipments.
