Course Curriculum Overview

As ayurveda is the ancient form of Indian medicine. I choose this course to learn more about ayurveda and to promote ayurveda. This course is of 4.5 years plus 1 year internship. 4.5 year curriculum includes 3 phases of 1.5 year each.

Class Size: 73Course Fees: INR 175000 per year

Internships Opportunities

As we are studying in ayurvedic medical college. College has its own hospital where students can complete their internship. And the posting to other hospital are also done for better experience of the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

I pay 175500rs per year which includes tution fees which is 60500rs. Hostel fees which is 65000. And development fees which is 50000rs. There are different quota like private quota and management quota.

Campus Life

The campus of our college is not soo big, it includes herbal garden and a small ground. The fest is not too grand just 3 days is followed by sports day and another 3 days is followed by cultural events and 1 day annul day is conducted.

Hostel Facilities

Each floor has 15 room in our hostel and we have 4 floor building. Each room is alloted between 4 students. And 2 study tables and 2 chairs are given between 4 students and that is very wrong. The food of our mess is not soo good in taste.

Hostel Fee: INR 65000 per year

Admission

I have applied for karnataka KEA counselling and i got alloted govt. Seat in this so I took admission here. To take admission in this college need to be qualified in NEET exam and should follow KEA counselling procedure.

Faculty

Every subject needs atleast 4 leacturers. But our college don't have enough leacturers there is a lots of vacancy of faculty. The university exam is held once in 1.5 year and for every 6 month term end exam is conducted.

Night Life

There is no gym, canteens, or public area in our college as it has small campus. The hostel is good with good infrastructure and 9:30pm is the last time to enter the hostel if not serious action is taken.

Placement Experience:

After 3 rd year students become eligible for intership . The percentage of getting intership is 70 percent. Highest package is of 12 to 15 lakh per year and lowest is 6 lakh . My plans after getting the degree is to open up the clinic in my hometown and do the service in government hospital.

Reality of our college

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum Overview:

The approch of ayurveda to patient is subjective as it focuses on each body type rather than general approach for disease. The curriculum for us is RS7 which is designed in such a way that not only theritical aspects will be clear but also we learn about practical approach to the patient as well. As if now the revised syllabus is very much improved it's difficult to suggest any changes now . The exams are very well planned

Uhmm. Positive aspects of the college is that there is a lot of scope in the internship where there is a large spectrum of cases where one gets to learn and the negative aspect being the college resides in between the city which is quite disturbing as Bangalore traffic is insane and the campus is kinda small.

A lot of cons than pros

I applied for MVJ, Oxford medical college, Sapthagiri Institute of Medical science and Akash medical college. The patient inflow and teaching was better is what i heard and chose this college but reality is different. Admission process is Via the KEA. We have to go through the counseling process and once the process is done over there we are supposed to go to the college and after a mandatory fitness checkup we have to finish the admission process within 4pm of the next day....Read More
