Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum had every subject which jbwas interested in. The curriculum prepares us in such a manner that we can face the real world challenges like budgeting, investments etc. One rea of improvement can be: Providing more internship opportunities to gain practical knowledge. Frequency of exam: 4 times a year difficulty: medium
Internships Opportunities
The training and placement cell of tcsc provides internship opportunities but it is not very high. I haven't received any internship opportunity from the college and im already in sem 4 of bbi. Nevertheless the internship opportunities are better in other degrees of tcsc
Placement Experience
Students get eligible after sem 6 Name of the companies: Tata, idbi, axis, hdfc, motilal oswal, JP morgan. Average package: 400000 and highest: 1400000 Percentage: 70% are getting placements. My plan is to apply for JP morgan and continue my masters
Fees and Financial Aid
Thakur college of science and commerce charges different fees for every semester ranging from 26000-30000 every month according the semester of banking and Insurance and other bsc courses starts from 30000 per semester. The placements options are good if a student has a strong CV. Tcsc does not provide much of internship options so personally as a student studying there i haven't got any practical knowledge of banking or insurance while im already in the semester 4 of my degree. Overall i have experienced a good change in myself with respect to development in leadership skills, decision making power and also got rid off my stage fear and introverted behaviour through mangaging college fests.
Campus Life
Festivals: Taarangan, Be a Banker, cortokino in the months- dec, jan and feb All books of different competitive exams are available. 2 Acs in every clasroom with white boards and projectors with comfortable seatings College has a gymkhana with coaches of cricket, football, volleyball, boxing. The college has a turf and boxing ring and has also won state level awards for sports. Culturals are promoted like fashion shows, dance, drama, singing It has won national award for nss, ncc and different clubs like the green club, dlle, English literary association, entrepreneur club and many more
Admission
I honestly did not apply to any other college but if one wants to apply to other colleges exams like cet and cat are the best and the reason i did not apply to other colleges is that i did not find the need to after JC i continued in tcsc as it was full filing most of my expectations
Faculty
Faculty is very helpful The coordinator of my degree BBI is one of the most supportive professor. Professors have created a positive environment and impact. Students can rely and trust the teachers Great teaching method
Night Life
The college as a maggie point, sandwich point and a cafeteria. It has many hangout spots like the gangway, inner quard for activities. I do not have a clear idea about the hostels as i do not use that facility. Famous hangout spot outside the college is Baithak, mcd, starbucks etc Thakur village is a very safe place to hang out even at night
