Dislikes
- There curriculum is quite hasty with exams almost every month
- Toilets are not well maintained , most of the time there is no proper water supply
- No ac classes are also available which makes it really difficult to concentrate in class or exams
Course Curriculum Overview
I have great interest in the medicine world ,so it is ideal for you to chose this course if you have the same interest. The curruculum includes regular practical classes to prepare us for the real world with good practical knowledge The curriculum can be improved with well equipped and good conditions of the lab. There are 8 semesters with 2 sessional exams per semester and 1 improvement exam which makes you busy whole semester
Internships Opportunities
As I am in my 3rd year i cannot tell clearly about the placement opportunities but about the internship they provide with internship opportunities with some money deposit. You can do the internship with your connections too.
Fees and Financial Aid
As per the fee structure when i joined my course as a regular student (general) which is B.Pharmacy, it was 1,35,000rs excluding the examination fee that is 5000rs per semester. For the self financed students (sfs) the fee structure it is 2,20,000 and for Foreign Nationals students it is $4000. Exlcuding one time Admission fee 5000rs Enrolment fee 5000rs Alumni fund 3000rs Library deposit (refundable) 5000rs The qualifying exam for this course is NEET UG There is some reservations for muslim students. Scholarship include Hamdard National Foundation (HNF) Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC/MINORITY and General Category having annual income less than 3lakh And Hakeen Abdul Hameed Scholarship
Campus Life
There are few annual fest of different departments, pharmacy does not have its annual fest unlike other departments. Books and journals are readily available in the library and are easy to access. The classrooms are getting reconstructed with good facilities. Sports week is held annualy in the month of January- February There are numerous clubs to join.
Admission
I got confirmed in one of the colleges of GGSIPU which was not so good for pharmacy and the location was also not ideal. Pharmacy at Jamia hamdard is one of the best and have NIRF 1st rank in Pharmacy The admission is throught the NEET UG Examination which includes the syllabus from XI and XII class physics, chemistry and biology The examination is of 720 marks and the cut off for b.pharmacy goes to 400
Faculty
The student to faculty ratio is reasonable and have good interaction with students. They are so many admirable teachers who have great expertise in their respective subjects and great teaching methods. There ar 8 semester with 8 end semester examination and each semester with 2 sessional exams and 1 improvement exams for students who failed or want to improve their marks
Night Life
The locality is not so great but the campus itself is really beautiful with greenery everywhere. Just outside the locality of the college near the metro station there are numerous places to hangout. In colg itself there are various canteens and grounds to hangout and chill. Hostel timing are till 9pm
