The college provides diverse club and activities
Modern Library, the library is well equipped with vast collection of books
The faculty and the management is really supportive

Dislikes

The parking space is very limited, it is woefully small
The wifi speed in the campus is really bad

Course Curriculum Overview

This curriculum is choosen by me beacuse i wanted to sudy the core computer science which this course provides in well mannered way. The curriculum is ready for making real world applications. The exams are easy to medium

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 212000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees of my college when i took admission was 106000 per semester which make sit 212000 yearly, but the fees were incresed by 15000 yearly so the current fees of this academic year is 146000 per semester which makes it 292000 per year and there is 5000 examination fees per year also. Now talking about scholarship, the college provides scholarship from 40% to 90% by CUCET examinations which is taken by university itself.

Campus Life

There is always an event hapenning in college. There happens a annual fest which is called CU fest and one tech fest also happens yearly. There is every range of books available in library ranges from academics to novels to magzines. All modern facilities are present in the classroom.

Admission

I did not applied for any other college beacuse i compared evry other college from this i came to conclusion that i should take admission in this college. The admission process is very simple, just apply and give cucet exam.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is good which is 60:1. The relationship between the faculty and students is really good, they are very supportive other than academics they help in everything fot the students. I can't name specific faculties beacuse in every sem i got the best faculties. There are 2 midsem and 1 endsem and 3 assignments, suprise test, quiz each every semester.

Night Life

There is a Gym in hostels 1 gym is alloted for 2 hostels. Every hostel has its own cafeteria. Evey hostel has its own study room. The hostel entry timings are 9pm for boys and 7:30 for girls. The famous hangout place in colege is the Food Republic which has a plenty of outlets.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
