Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum helps us to become doctors and serve the duty of treating patients The total marks of exams is 100 , duration 3 hours. You need to score atleast 40 marks (according to the university) to pass the exams. The level of difficulty is moderate, if you study the portions accordingly, you will be able to pass the exams

Internships Opportunities

2

After 4 and half years, we will be able to do our internship in the same college hospital for 1 year. We will be assigned to different departments every month. Our monthly stipend is nearly 10000 per month. During our internship, hostel facilities are available but mess food is not provided

Fees and Financial Aid

For state merit seats, the tution fees is 7lakhs per year, caution deposit is 6000 miscellaneous fees include 25000, hostel and mess fees is almost 95000, fees for lab and records are nearly 10000 For management seats the tution fees was 15lakhs per year in 2021, it must have been increased now

Campus Life

3

Most of the festivals are celebrated in our college including Onam, diwali, Christmas etc. There are no student clubs or portals till now. Sports and arts fest are conducted every year. Classrooms are spacious air conditioned. Some of the classrooms are not hygienic, leakage is seen

Hostel Facilities

1

There are two hostels for girls. One for the first year students (3 person per one room, common bathroom for all the students on that floor) and other one for rest of the students(2 person per room with attached bathroom). Each room contains 2 beds, 2 tables, and 2 cupboards. Facilities in hostel is poor. Meal quality in mess is horrible

Admission

I applied to all the medical colleges in Trivandrum district of kerala and I got admission in govt. Ayurveda college Trivandrum. In 2nd allotement I got a seat in Mount Zion. Since I was interested in MBBS more than BAMS, I opted Mount Zion. Since my neet score was 516, I couldn't get a seat in medical college in my hometown You need to attend neet UG exam and score more than 450 marks out of 720 (general category) to get a seat in private medical colleges in kerala

Faculty

3

About half of the faculties are approachable, they are ready to guide us and clear our doubts whenever needed. For first year Jayasabarinadhan Sir , dept. of Anatomy is a really good teacher. He really works hard to teach us the cocepts Every year there are 2 internal exams and 1 model exam apart from university exams

Night Life

2

Ther is no gym in the college or hostel. There is no such timings in boys hostel. Girls should enter the hostel at 6:30pm.Then they are only allowed to go to the mess hall upto 8:30pm which is situated outside the hostel. Famous hangout place of all students is the cafeteria which is open till 10 pm. Library timing is from 8am to 8pm.Tge locality does not seem to be safe to roam around

Course Curriculum Overview:

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is a pretty hard one i must say but the feeling of putting on a white coat and looking after patients is surreal and that's the main essence of the job. The curriculum is very vast but each subject is important in its own way. The exams are all conducted in such a way that there's enough time for us to prepare .
