It is a government college and many of the higher authorities of different hotels are the alumni of this college. It has the best faculties and the best environment for studies. Students have to pass the All India entrance exam to get into this college which is the best.

Companies like Taj, ITC, Oberoi, Novotel , Hyatt come for interviewing the students for industrial training which is held for 4 months. The students work for 4 months and the stipend is decided each yr. This yr it's 5k.

After 4th Sem and after coming back from Industrial training students become eligible for campus placement. Companies like Taj, ITC , The Park, Oberoi , and many retail companies come for interviewing the students. The highest package as per I know is 4L. Most of the students get the placements.

Fees increases accordingly to the state. In IHM Kolkata fees for each Semester is 78k which becomes nearly 5L for the whole course . Caution fees as per I know is 8k which we will be getting back after the completion of the course. Registration fees will be mentioned in the NCHM website during the exams and after the exams. For the other categories there are no extra fees everyone pays the same. Scholarships are not for General category other categories can opt for scholarship. There is a brochure which you can get from the ihmkol website. Students go for Industrial training in the 2nd yr and Campusing placements start from 3rd yr.

IHM Kolkata is full of events. The biggest event is Gourmet Nite which is Eastern India's biggest food festival. There are various clubs like dance , media, other professional departments . Sports event is held .

After giving NCHMCT JEE 2024 i lost hope that I cannot clear the exam and applied to IIHM and gave PI there. I was selected in IIHM and when NCHM results were declared i cleared that too surprisingly with an AIR 500. Then there were many process. Like registration fees for 2k and then selection of college and they will allot a college to us according to our score. I got chosen by IHM Kolkata at first only.

The professors in IHM Kolkata are very friendly and cooperative. There are more than 1000 students including 1st yr , 2nd yr and 3rd yr. There are many teachers on one department . Every faculty member is the best. No one misbehaves and they want the best for us. The college organises mid term exams before end sem exams. All the notes are provided in the website after the student profile is made . The exams are easy according to the preparation. No one fails usually. It goes according to the CGPA and is under JNU.

Yes , there is a all India entrance exam held every year which is NCHMCT JEE. It is held in April to May. We have to fill the form and sit for the exams carrying the needed documents most importantly the admit card and aadhar card . After clearing the exam we have go to our allotted college for physical reporting . We can check the Opening and closing rank to have an idea . There is a book from Arihant from where students can practice for the exams.

There is a gym which mentions the time when each yr students can enter. Library is open to everyone. A library card is made and there are no fictional books. There is a cafe which serves delicious food and we are provided with lunch by the college.
