Course Curriculum Overview

5

Yes, the course curriculum is indeed relevant to modern-day demands. While it may not guarantee immediate placement in an MNC, if you engage sincerely with the syllabus, it will build a strong foundation for the skills you will learn and open up many future opportunities. As for the examination structure, we have MID SEMESTER EXAMS in the third month, which cover the first two units (and occasionally the first three). These exams account for 25 marks for each subject. Additionally, we receive marks based on our regularity in class, assignment submissions, and observations from professors, contributing a total of 15 marks. In the sixth month, we have END SEMESTER EXAMS worth 60 marks, which typically cover all five units, although some may be exempted. One of the positive aspects of GBU is that they allow students to take exams regardless of fee submission status. While we will need to prepare a no fees due form later in our graduation to receive our degree, this policy reflects the institution's commitment to supporting students in their academic zeal.

Placement Experience

3

Those who are in top 1% are placed handsomely, which is so obvious and it is real here, talk about placement if you scored more than 7 percentile. Don't ask for placement: 1)when scored less than 5, and no skill and knowledge come on , you know how tough the game gets for you. 2)when scored more than 9, then i suppose you are filled with sufficient skills and knowledge and atleast academically you will face no hindrance from big ferms , universities' placement cell itself will prioritize you and all great if you are selected off campus

Fees and Financial Aid

Gautam Buddha University fees structure for BTech CSE 1. Tuition Fees: ?2,00,000 per year (?1,00,000 per semester). 2. Exam Fees: ?1,500 per semester. 3. One-Time Fees: Registration & Counselling Fee (Non-refundable): ?10,000 Security Fee (Refundable): ?10,000 Library Fee: ?2,000 Sports Fee: ?2,000 4. Scholarships Available: 50% Tuition Fee Waiver: Provided by the college to students belonging to SC/ST categories, reducing the tuition fee to ?50,000 per semester. Additional Scholarships: Students can also apply for the U.P. Government Scholarship, which often covers the remaining tuition fees for eligible students, significantly minimizing their financial burden. Merit Scholarships: Offered to top-performing students on an annual basis (programme-wise). Example (for SC/ST students): Some of my friends from the SC/ST category avail the 50% tuition fee waiver from the college (?50,000 per semester) and apply for the U.P. Government Scholarship, which reimburses most of the remaining fee. As a result, their overall expenses for the course are reduced from ?1,00,000 per semester to just a few thousand rupees.

Campus Life

5

GBU is underwhelming in regards of social fests. A concert or say DJ night happens at most thrice a year from what I have seen, but don't expect big celebrities to show up. It's actually more active in regards of cultural and sports fests as visits of government and social personalities is more frequent here. GBU provides appreciable sports environment, since has 1 cricket stadium and nets training ground , 1 footbal ground, 1 athletic ground , 1 hockey ground ,a vollyball court, a tennis court, a basketball court, a gym, a swimming pool and an national level indoor stadium. Other extracurricular activities done in gbu are music , and theater and many other as per student councils, yes they are all facilitated by students. So if you are active in this activities campus life will be very happening for you as I have seen they are always preparing for one thing and another.

Hostel Facilities

5

For boys there is single seater room with LAN internet connectivity , one bed frame , one almirah and a chair table set is provided ,ie one room is alloted for on person (exceptions are in medical students hostel). Student's hostel are seperated in order of their course and seniority. Toilet and washroom are common for every one but they are plenty available, as I have never experience unavailability of washroom (even in rush hours). If students' misbehaviour is neglected, bathrooms are well maintained by cleaners, but sometimes s#*ts happen, you know boys. Meals(4 times, Breakfast ,Lunch, Snacks, Dinner) provided in mess will may upset your tastebuds only if you have been fond of spicy cuisines, I will not dare say the food is delicious here (sometimes maybe). I will not feed you false expectations, the meal is just fine to sustain and menu is well diversed to provide a balanced diet, oh, and all messes are vegetarian here, non-veg food (including eggs) are not in the menu. It's is well sufficient to for your carbs, fibers and little protein requirements daily, nothing fancy than that.

Admission

Jee was too demanding for, so instead of that I found GBU. The university conducts GBU-ET examination for admissions in various courses (Management, Engeneering, Vocational Science) also they take admission on basis of CLAT and NEET for respective course of law and medical. Generally, just qualify the entrance (which is very easy) , show up for the counselling, complete the formalities and you are in. I can guide you with detail regarding Btech admission. Due to the security it provides against financial difficulties that regardless of your fees status you are allowed to attempt exams and continue your academic life unhinged. Universities exams are conducted within campus buildings instead of centers allotted in most of UP colleges thus there is no extra fees charged for rechecking answersheet.

Faculty

4

The college maintains an adequate number of faculty members, ensuring that there’s no shortage of educators for academic guidance. However, students may need to take the initiative and actively follow up to get their concerns addressed, as some faculty members may not always be prompt in their responses. That said, the faculty is highly diligent and uncompromising when it comes to maintaining discipline and academic integrity. Any instance of misbehavior or use of unfair means is dealt with strictly, ensuring a fair and respectful learning environment for everyone

Night Life

4

College runs out around 3 to 4 pm, then we return to our hostel /home. It's usually a 10 min walk from college building to hostel which if paved with lush green trees and bushes , all showering in the golden glimmer of setting sun a landscape so beautiful, on your way you will catch 2-3 students capturing the scenery with they smartphones. To hangout, there are lots of places and spot within the campus which you have seen for your self, you can sit an evening in serenity around meditation center, or you can function with you friends at cafes in shoping complex , OAT, and gate no 1 or chill at sports grounds and activity building . All the official buildings(also library) closes after 5 pm. Gym closes after 9 pm Hostel mess closes after 10pm Then all the stals, shops, cafeteria, canteen and shoping complex closes at 11 pm. Note:for girls it is strictly mandatory to stay in hostel after 8pm

Since curriculum was given by AKTU itself, colleges only has the power to choose elective subjects- Few subjects were my fav and helped me alot in lot's of different scenerios - like EDC,Network Theory and ofc VLSI Design was my fav. For ECE students - university shd mandate Satellite communication and VLSI Technology a compulsory as it's a kind of core subjects and in every PSU as well as govt exams , questions from this subject always been asked by authorities. More faculties staff's are required.

Taking about campous placement of my college so this is not so good like it is almost negligibe . If you want job then you have to fimd it by yourself and you have to apply by yourself to company. sometimes few prof. will help you to apply for some companies but most of the times you have to do it by yourself only. As in other colleges you will be elegible for internships from 2nd year is also the same thing you can start your internship when ever you get it. Almost no company visit here for placement but some time few companies come here for ME and Civil deparment students .the placement percentage is approx 35 to 40 percent. My plans after getting degre is to go for higher studies.
