Course Curriculum Overview

I oupted B.Tech in Robotics and automation engineering during th is course we study about how the robots are work in this we study the whole branch of engineering like we study CSE, Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace and many more

Class Size: 26Course Fees: INR 180000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I pay Rs 100100 yearly as a tuition fee. Others has 180000 yearly fee I got 45% scholarship due too my JEE MAINS rank. Others get 35% scholarship because they don't scored well. There are also a GU-SET exam given by students too get that scholarship.

Campus Life

If you want a book of your choice from library take as soon as possible because good books are occupied by the other students so be careful about it and overall the campus life is good all the faculty members, seniors are good

Admission

I want to do B.Tech in robotics and automation engineering but this branch of engineering is not available in all the college because in all over the Ludhiana there is no college who has this branch of engineering and suddenly I called GNA university and asked that if they have that branch of engineering they said yes. So there is no option for me too go with another college

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is 6:1 and the relationship between student and teachers is very good teacher are very helping nature. There are two type of exam one is Mid semester exam and other is end semester exam. Which you can easily clear if you have a full knowledge of that paper.

Interview Experience

If you scored well in 12 exam or you got above 85% then you will get admission without any question or any exam to get the scholarship. If you want to give exam then you can contact to registration office to give that exam.

Night Life

If you didn't have any hostel and you sayed late night then you can stay with your friends who are in hostel because campus is situated in outoff town area there is all around forest and agricultureal field which is very dangerous to go out of campus.

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact

75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

I choose this university because of good repotation and this university is situated approx 30 kilometrs away from my village which ables me easy for daily commuting . i do not applied on another colleges because they are expensive which is not affordable for me and my family .
