Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is precise, updated with recent and emerging trends/technology. Curriclum provides many opportunities to learn and explore real world applications and acedemic pursuits, curriculm focuses on practical based-laboratory applications, research projects, seminars. Teaching methods are great, interactive and fun to learn. Exam frequency: 1 mid term exam and 1 end semester exam per semester. difficulty : moderate.

Internship opportunities provided by the college in various labs in MGM hospital ( Central Research Lab and Microbiology Lab). College provided internship opportunity in Wockhart R&D, Research Lab, Pune University,
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for internship when they complete 7th sem for bachelors and 3rd sem for masters. Companies visited: Wockhart R&D, Ajeet Seeds, Sula Wine, Mongines. Avg Packages offerd: Rs. 500000/Yr Highest Package offered: Rs. 800000/Yr My plan after gettting the degree: I want to pursue M. Tech. Biotechnology
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees in total is Rs. 90,000. Rs. 85,000 includes tution fees, caution fees, lab fees, and other university facilities fees like sports, industrial visits etc., Rs. 5000 is the yearly exam fees, paid before the semester end exam registration, twice a year. Rs. 1000 is the registration fees which is to be paid at the begining of the admission process. As per my knowledge there is no compensation for reserved categories in fees also no scholarships provided from the university. Financial aids were provided to some of my batchmates with weaker economical backgrounds.
Campus Life
functions: Farewell Function (March), Freshers Party (December), MGMU Olympics (November-December), Teachers Day Function(Sept). All the latest and required books are available in the dept. library. Various International Journal (Springer, Nature, Elesvior) Access is provided by the college. Projector prsent in the classrooms for interactive, visually appessing presentations and seminars. Sports activities and facilities encouraged and provied.
Admission
I applied to KIT-Kolhapur, Fergusson-Pune. These collges did not provided B. Tech course in Biotechnology insted BSc was available there. MGM Ibt provieded this cousre. Admission Process: I got admission via the MGMU CET entrance examination where i scored above 80% and got a call for admission. Admission process is easy, first the student has to pay the registration fees and fill the details to get admission.
Faculty
The faculties are open, helpful and approchable to the students, they provide guidance for study, clear doughts and help in research projects. The best faculties are Dr. Sushanta Kumar Barik, Mr. Kiran Pawar, Dr. Ashwinikumar Khshirsagar, Dr. Preenon Bagchi, Dr. Manisha Survase, Dr. Ravindra Kale these faculties have helped me with my academics, mentored and provided guidance for research projects, helped me getting publications, achiving prizes in many project competitions. Exams: 1 midterm exam and 1 semester end exam every semester, midterm exam: 20 marks, mcqs and short note. Semester end exams 60 marks, 5 long answer questions, diffuculty: moderate
Night Life
Students have free access to student gym, badmintion court, table tennis, cricket stadium, tennis court. Libraray present in every department. Cafeteria and Canteen present in campus ( Sports Canteen). locality is safe for nights, famous hangout places: Cannought Place
