Lpu from the eyes of a BCA student

I didn't had maths in my +2 which is a necessity when applying for graduation with CS but after searching 100 of colleges from a cousin who was already in LPU i got to know that lpu doesn't have such criteria so i took admission in LPU and I never regretted it cause it offered me the best course content best exposure and prepared me well for future opportunities but there are few subjects here that teach out dated technologies like R programming which do not have much future scope and needs to be updated with python according to me there are exams every month starting with 4 CA's ( class assessment 25 weighage) mid term (20 weightage) end term (50 weightage) attendence (5 weightage)

From the second year itself students are eligible for placements who have opted for college placements and had paid a placement fee of 3000 rs there are many companies from TCS , ACCENTURE to even ACER , the highest package till now in BCA was 25 LPU which one of our senior named as Rahul ratan sinha got in JTP and the average package is around 3.5 LPA . Till now approx 30 percent of my classmates are placed and i want to persue MCA after completing this cource

The fee per sem for general BCA is 90000 and there is a entrance cum scholarship exam named as LPUNEST which you can give to avail a scholarship upto 48 percent there are many more ways to get scholarships like your CUET, JEE score or your 12th marks there are many more hidden charges like exam fees 5000 per sem and there is placement services 3000 and if you want to take any extra courses then different fee depending upon the cource and is increasing every year but once you take admission you have to pay the same fee even if the fee increases the next sem it would be only for the new comers

There are a dozen of events going on everyday in lpu and the main event which has people from all over the world is named as ONE WORLD and is held every year . The library is very vast and has 6 floors and more than a thousand students can sit together comfortably in the peaceful environment and study from the lakhs of books of all genere available. Lpu not only focuses on studying but on all the aspects and talents it encourages every talent from dance to sports. Many LPU students are representing lpu worldwide in every field there are clubs also for every skills and students can register in them to improve their team work and be a better team player

My hostel was not very good but the memories of hostels were mesmerising . I left the hostel in the first year and since 2 year i am living in an appartment near lpu named as siddhay apartment situated in lawgate it has all the best facilities in lawgate and the careetakers afe very good and polite

For me the only and the only reason to chose LPU was that i do not had any restrictions when applying for BCA like it doesn't have criteria like you should have maths in your 12th grade or you should not have biology and all which the other colleges lack . The admission process is so simple here you just have to fill the registration form online and then apply for the entrance exam which is not very tough and also you are given scholarships based on your score in the entrace . Then after the results are out you have to visit the nearest LPU hub and then submit the documents and on the reporting date you just have to verify those details in the college

Lovely professional university has a techer to student ratio of 1:30 ensuring personalised attention and are very approachable every student is assigned with a personal mentor with whom the student can consult everything he has issues with and everything he needs help with there were faculties like dr Ankush manocha sir who not only taught me operating systems but also made me realise what do i need to do exactly in my life and how can I achieve my dreams . And navneet kaur maam who taught me OOPS and made the complex programming easier to understand , the exams include 4 CA's , 1 mid terms and 1 end term exams every semester . In which the end term has the 50 percentage weightage

My favourite spot in lpu is agriculture block which is very peaceful and i like sitting there with my friends and enjoy snacks there is gym equipped with every instrument 100s of cafes and many neat and clean sitting areas for students the hostel timing for girls are till 8 pm and for boys its till 10 the college is very safe for girls . My favourite hangout place in lpu is unimall basement. The lcality is not very safe to roam at night specially for girls
