Campus Life

5

The campus life in my college is dynamic , offering a balance between academics and extracurricular activities , the envirorment encouraged interaction among students from differrent background. anual festival held every year with different titles and freshers day, farewell days and other programs were held in campus with different themes. The library is well organised with textbooks, study materials, newspapers, magazines, journals and other materials. Some classrooms are faciliated with projectors , charts where learning difficult topics can made simplified. and well lit and ventilated . but college doesn't had its own playground but sports activities are held every year Where lots of students werre participated and won many prizes and college as various cells such as sexual harazment cell, no ragging cell, NCC, NSS, sports cell, and placement cell etc...

Admission

I joined The oxford college of science in my second year of my course as it provided the opportunity to continue my education and pursue my academic goals , the college reputation for academic rigor and its ability to accomadae lateral entry student like me played a significant role in my deciision, which was crucial to me to join in the seecond year to continue my studies seamlesly without losing time. for eligibility for me is to complete my 1st year in the same feild from a recognised university , where i should not have any backlogs . marksheet of 1st year and transfer certificate and no objective certificate frm both university is required , The admission proceess was smooth with college administratioon being helpful throughoutly after submitting required document, i was admitted directly into 2nd year.

Faculty

5

The course curriculum was well designed, covering both foundational and advanced topics ,it balanced both theoritical and practical knowledge. The academic year divided into 2 semesters with 2 major exams per semester , internal asseesment and end seemister exams. The marks sceme was fair but strict, with an emphasis clarity and depth of answers, practical evalution required precision understanding ,while theory paper valued detailed explaination and presentation . faculty members are appproachable and wiling to assist students with doubts both during and after class. the relation between faculty and students are generally positive, Teachers encouraged questions and discussions , about 5-10% students are failed to clear their exams.

Night Life

5

Since I'm staying with my family and not in hostel, im used to return home before night falls around 6PM, as my college usual timing is between 9AM to 3:30PM and during lab hour it may fluctuate around 5-5:30 pm , Cafetaria in my college opens around 8 am and closses around 6pm, library timingas is 9 to 5, and outside the college i used hang out with my friends to muttalli hotel which is always full with people where food is tasty and affordable , we used to hand out around free hoours between classes, occasionaly not frequently. since college is in HSR layout it is safe place to roam around day and night times.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Now the syllabus has changed. New emerging technologies trends and subjects are introduced in new curriculum. Data science, Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security are now taught. Practical marks are reduced to 50 marks. Term end examinations are conducted twice in a year. Exams are not that difficult. Usually previous year questions appear in the exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it around 8/10 for relevance and comprehensiveness. I chose this course because it offered solid foundational subjects that aligned with my interests. The curriculum prepares students well for higher studies and provides decent exposure to lab techniques. However, for real world readiness, it could be improved. Teaching methods are mostly theory-heavy and would benefit from interactive approaches. Exams are moderately difficult and conceptual clarity and regular revision helps in scoring well.

First of all, there isn't a passed out batch yet(as of 2025). The first batch enrolled in 2023 and they are currently in internship period as they've planned. Placement will be offered at the end of 4th year. Although for internships, around 50+ companies visited and 96% of students got internships. The average stipend was 30,000 INR and the highest stipend was 200,000 INR (non-domestic). My plans after getting the degree are to gain some experience and go for a masters in business if possible.

The placement scene in this college is promising, especially for students pursuing B.Sc and M.Sc programs. it has a dedicated placement and training cell that actively prepares students for the recruitment process by mock interviews. students become eligible for placements in final year. the top recruiting companies includde infosys, wipro, cognizant etc. On an average 50 to 60% of eligible students get placed with the remaining either pursuing higher education or looking for opportunities in civil service or elsewhere. My plans after my graduation is to pursue masters in forensic science in NFSU and then to work in the FSLs
