Course Curriculum Overview

2

I thought the curriculum would be good, and it was however not properly taught. It teaches us a lot about real world problems and application but doesn't prepare us well for further academic pursuits. They should focus more on practical learning rather than cramming. Currently if you can cram well, you can pass any exam because they want exactly the stuff that they have given in notes. Exams were okay in difficulty however cramming is the only way to pass with good marks, no zeal for inner creativity .

Placement Experience

1

Student can sit in placements only from 7th semester! Placement department is very very very very bad! Students cheat in placement tests and the faculty promotes that cheating. Good students cant get enough opportunities as cheaters crack the tests using chatgpt. Due to this no good offers are made, and cheaters fail the personal interviews resulting in zero selection from college. Highest package ever was 27LPA (off campus) And average package is 3.5LPA or maybe even lesser. 50% students are sent to management jobs or call centres. On average 25 companies visut and make about 100 -125 offers for a batch of 600 students. Rest students are given to non tech jobs like business development executive or interns in non tech fields.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship can be availed if you provide caste certificate documents and if you come via UPSEE examination. For 2nd to 4th year, yearly 1,09,900 rupees is taken as fees. However it is 1,18,000 in first year for some reason. If you come via UPSEE councelling you can get half fees back as scholarship. But this scholarship was not awarded in 4th year to my batch for some reason. Fees is same for all categories.

Campus Life

1

No fests happen in this college! They dont spend money to make college life memorable. Only once an year there is sports day when they use the ground they have given up on lease. No extra curricular activities and if you perform in extra curricular activities, you loose attendance because teachers are egoistic and they want you to only be in the class and your eyes to be in the books. Wifi range doesn't come till classroom and groups, clubs are only in the name no club related activities.

Admission

I mistakenly took admission in this college, I could have gotten ABES Engineering College in place of this. It was a mistake not a decision! This college takes in anybody through direct admission and cut off is 60%+ for 12th and any rank in IIT JEE. I could have gotten any other college I secured 92.8 percentile in JEE, however it was bad luck!

Faculty

1

Faculty to student ratio is less. Faculty is approachable but they dont know answers to anything so it is all a waste of time actually. They just lead you to other faculties and the chain goes on. Worst faculty: 1.) Mrs. Archana Sharma (CSE department), she does not know anything, has zero knowledge of AI/ML but still acts like she knows a lot. She doesn't even know how to write a research paper and has major ego problems. She has recently left the college I've heard. 2.) Mr. Rajeev Rajput, i dont know why he is in the college at all. Useless teacher, has major problems with well informed students and teaches humanities!! Why is he in an engineering college at all? Best faculty: Dr Rizwan Khan, (ex-HOD CSE), currently dean of the college i think. Loads of knowledge and research experience in food tech and computer organisation and architecture!. Exams are easy, however teaching is weak so students don't perform very good in exams. If you dont attend tests and exams, they give you internal marks less than 30 which u need to cover in external university exams or else its considered as an internal back. Some faculty is soo bad that they come back at you for personal grudges and reduce your marks even to give you internal back, one of them used to be Dr. Bipin Kumar (ex HOD-IT)

Night Life

1

No night life, cant leave premises after 6pm. Library is sick!, cafeteria is only in the name. There is nothing to enjoy or chillout in nearby areas. You have to wander minimum 10km to find good places to chill like indirapuram or noida.

Other Applied Colleges

ABES Engineering College | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

People get confused in between both colleges as they have almost the same name. ABESIT is worse than ABES Engineering College in terms of placement and quality of education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well structured and keep up with the evolving trends of industry. It balance Theoretical and knowledge and practical application, helping students build a strong foundation in core subjects like programming mathematics and engineering fundamentals. The curriculum Includ Laboratory session Projects and tutorials that enhance understanding beyond the textbooks It also allows students to choose elective in later semester which adds flexibility and depth to learn. In terms of revevance, most subjects are designed to align with current industry requirements especially in field like computer science and electronics the inclusion of emerging technologies such as ai data science and web development makes it quite comprehensive. However a few areas could be improved such as integrating more industry based project and updating some older Syllabus to match modern tools and frameworks. Overall the curriculum is relevant ,comprehensive and career-oriented providing a solid base for both higher studies and professional development.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This criteria for choosing the college was because of placements. The curriculum Is outdated and not as per the industry requirements. In 1st year we are taught only one language and which is of no use.... That is C. But in other universities, students are taught languages like java, C++, python in their 1st year. Teachers are good. I have no issues with them but I have issues with its curriculum. Exam are taken so much which are according to me good as they prepare as for university exams but as I consider placement point of view so students do not have enough time to prepare for their placements, learning new skills as we are supposed to study for exams otherwise we will have to attend extra exams and classes and will lose internal marks. So having many exams have both benefits and drawbacks.
