Course Curriculum Overview

4

I just wanted to pursue this course as I was preparing for this since 4 years. The curriculum prepares me for getting a good corporate job. The subjects should be divided equally in every semester. Even the semesters should be even.

Internships Opportunities

3

College didn't offer any internship opportunity, you have to find your own internships. College will recommend many companies and firms. Mostly the internships are not paid but a girl from my batch got an internship opportunity for 22 LPA.

Placement Experience

4

Students are getting placed in 4th year, which is 7th semester and 3rd year for Internship Opportunities. Companies visited were VISA, Capgemini, Accenture, Infosys, and many more. Highest Package was 83 LPA and average package is 5 LPA. Percentage of students getting placed should be like a big 10-12 percent. My plan is to get a good job or to opt for masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

On an average, I paid for like 2 Lakh rupees as the fees and they gave a 10 percent discount every year. There was tution fees, development fees, library fees and other compulsory charges. Fees of my batchmates was a little bit less than me because they belong from Uttrakhand and have a domicile.

Campus Life

5

There are many annual fests including winter carnival, management fest, technical fest and cultural fest (grafest). Grafest generally happens between June - August. There's a vast number of books in the library. Classrooms are well maintained. Sports facilities is average. There are many clubs including music club, dance club, fashion club, eco club, literary club, wecode club and art and craft club.

Hostel Facilities

3

They provided attached washrooms, balcony, study table, drawers and storage units inside the hostel room, it was a 3 bed sharing and a comfortable room. Hostel meal was good in the initial days but day by day you get used to the taste and it gets boring. There's no such registration process, in the admission form you need to mention whether you want to opt for a hostel facility or not and if any bed will be available, they will provide you after filling a hostel form. After my 3rd semester, I shifted out of my hostel to a PG as hostel was a bit expensive for me.

Admission

I had to choose this college as I was very late for an admission and this college was providing me a seat even after 4 months of admission date. I didn't apply for any other college as I was preparing for JEE Mains and Advanced. I was not rejected from any other college, I just didn't scored enough to get an admission. For admission in my college, they simply ask you some questions (interview sort of) and tell you the fees structure and then you can opt easily for your desired course. The eligibility criteria is 10+2 result, they also see your CUET score and JEE score before the admission. Admission experience was good.

Faculty

5

the faculty to student ratio should be like 3:10. The teachers are very supportive and friendly, not very strict but where they have to be strict, they are strict. There's a different team of faculty for students to give a punishment known as proctor board. I'll not take any one's name, everyone was equally important and supportive for students. There are 2 examinations per semester, Mid term and end term, each including practical and theory (in my case of B.Tech. CSE). The difficulty level of examination is moderate but still some students fail in the examination. Course curriculum is very relevant to what other colleges offer.

Interview Experience

1

I was admitted very late so no such things were asked to me. But I asked some of my batchmates about this thing and they said that there's a interview round and a written test before admission. That's it.

Night Life

4

There's a gym inside the campus and outside. there's a canteen, a cafeteri (pizza slices), a departmental store, a kiosk (Nescafe©) and a bakery (Let Me Bake). Hostel in timings are 9PM and Campus timings are 7PM. There are not much good options to hangout outside the campus as there's not much exposure but you can get good cafes and restaurants after 2-3 kms of campus radius. Roaming around at night for me isn't safe as the area is prone to panthers.

Godrej, Infosys and likewise tech and non-technical companies which have decided to have some AI engineers in their ranks are coming to our college. Also since our college don't have such big strength like the private universities have and therefore placements final figures may be small but in all, our percentage of placements are better and higher than those of the private universities.

Oracle has been the biggest find of GEHU as before GEU, they hire students of our college. The reason is that we have given 20+ students to Oracle so far and they all have been doing well there. So almunus of our college has made our placements stronger by bringing the same companies to our campus for placements year after year.

In GEU, placements are good and this was the main reason I took admission here. Companies visits here from Hyderabad offices and even Pune offices who doesn't just gives us jobs but intenrships opportunities too. Around 20% of the students even get PPO as our college teaching and training is such that getting job here is a cakewalk.

Tula Institute has a policy where students have to have a severe training during the second year. Communication skills and all are very important for a engineering student and we are taught that in the training program. So finally comes the placements and around half the batch is seen getting placed every year from our college.
