IIMT college of engineering, greater noida- review from a student

The college has faculty members motivating students to write papers and take part in extra curricular activities that boost students to help themselves like hackathons, ideathons etc. the college itself organizes a lot of coding challenges and competition for students. The downside is that most of the teachers are slow paced and take more time to complete the syllabus

I don't really know about the internship field yet because it's just my first semester and I've spent only 3 months here. Seniors have told me that internships are low paying but opportunities are a lot in number

I don't really know much about the placements yet because this is my first semester but I do know that college provide intership opportunities in 4th semester and students can get placed in the 3rd year. I plan to move to abroad for masters if I can grab the scholarships and If I fail I'll try for gate alongside with my job.

I'm doing Btech-cse(ai) The total fees of a year is 1,35,000 that is 67,500/- per semester. The scholarships are available based on merit result for semester exams and there are foreign trip to Dubai or Singapore for university toppers in final year. The fee waiver students don't have to pay tution fees, but they do have to pay registration charges for university and other forms.

The infrastructure of the college is really great, everything is properly ventilated. You can take books from library for a particular period of time, but you'll have to pay fine for any damage to the book. Seniors run a few groups that organises event in college including technical events, speakers meetup etc The college also have sports but the departments aren't much supportive regarding them because they focus on academics a little too much.

The rooms are nice. The best part is that we have attached bathrooms in the rooms and a balcony too. We have two sockets, a tubelight, a fan and an extra empty holder if we want to place an extra bulb. We're providing a matress, a pillow, 2 bed sheets, 2 pillow covers, a bucket, a mug and s curtain for window. We've also given a table and chair for studying and an almirah to keep our stuff. What I don't like is that we don't have any open rags like thing to keep our books. We have to scram everything on a single table. The quality of food is above average too.

I chose this college becuase it is affiliated to aktu, which is a plus point for me and I personally also had some seniors already studying here and some graduated seniors so they were ready to guide me through the college years. I also applied to Teerthankar Mahaveer University Moradabad but I left that because I didn't have any of my known seniors there. Senior support is needed if you want to grow in college, that's what I think

In every class there are two mentors and a class hold 50-56 students. Mentors are great and interact with class properly. You can meet the facilities after class time in their respective cabins and the facilities are really motivating towards students. Usually here happens two sessional exams of 50 marks for each subject and one PUT before end sems. The strictness against UFM is also high but students still manage to cheat using slips etc

There is literally no night life, you cannot leave the hostel building after 10pm to roam in the campus, the hostel gates are locked. Everything is outside hostel in the campus the gym, library, canteen each and everything is outside of hostel. The hostel has vending machines for drinks, chips etc. The hostel is too strict. You have to mark attendance at hostel from 8-9pm. There is no biometric in hostel.
