Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is good they have the structures pdfs and ppts of every subject proper topic wise which helps the students to prepare for exams well and the only area that lack is they don't put enough questions for practice like explanation is good but not enough questions.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunity mostly comes for computer science study for the role of front end or backend or software developer role . And for mba students it's about marketing and sales so overall internship opportunities are great.

Placement Experience

The college placements are above average, Like in my batch there are many students got placements of above 10 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs one my friend got 21lpa and another got 14lpa so placements are above averages and best for those who maintain their chap above 8.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is 92k/ semester sow for total 4 years it becomes 7,36,000 and every year they increase the fees of btech computer science around 5-8k per semester. They also provide scholarships if someone clears their cuet entrance exam.

Campus Life

Social aspects and club environment was very good because here there is a mixed and diverse crowd you get the chance to meet people from different countries and different states and know their cultures as well overall it's a wonderful experience.

Admission

I choose this college over others is because I was getting the scholarship amount around 30k and apart from this iv applied in many colleges like LPU , ms Ramiah,etc and on more reason I was getting the branch of my choice in this college that is computer science.

Faculty

There 2 mid semester exams and one end semester and 10 worksheets and 2 assignments and 2 surprise test for the total evaluation of the marks. Teacher students ratio is 1/32 which is good and I like the Vipasha mam most she used to teach dsa and teacher I don't like is was Neha mam.

Night Life

Nightlife for hostellers are for girls there's is a timing before 9 they have to enter and for boys before 11 but in hostel they have all the cafeteria and there's a lot of cafeteria including domino's. And if someone wants to go for nightiut they have to take the pass.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
