- Coding Culture and Clubs:MNNIT has best of the coding culture Every year many students are selected in GSSOC from here and there are much skilled students in MNNIT for coding and tech related clubs
- Cultural committes: There are excellent committes in MNNIT we have won and participated in many events even outside the College events Like Nishaad,Quintessence,Core Dramatics are one of the best
Dislikes
- Weak Infrastructure:Mnnit has established their hostels very early and from there after they have not rennovated them greatly Which is needed to be done quickly as its the need of the hour for their students
- Girls to Boys Ratio: there is one girl for 5 Boy.It could be a lot better as Womens enrollment can be made better in technology though college have started this initiative hope to see changes in upcoming futrue.
- Small Campus Size:MNNIT has very less campus size though it is stated that there is 222 acres but most of the space is restricted so we have very less area to hangout.
Course Curriculum Overview
I think this course is relevant to current course as I am a ECE student so i will be learning hard core stuffs of electronics which is for sure modern day relevant at the same time will be improving my software based knowledge through AI&M,DSA courses being taught here
Internships Opportunities
So internship season starts in third year onwards though for projects you can collaborate with professors in your field of interest and then you can do along projects with them or either you can contact them and they will give u a referal which can help you a lot for talking about the internship opportunities we have traning and placement department which helps student in cracking the interviews and fially landing a Job
Placement Experience
Actually so in third year internship time starts and students tries to avail the internship and in final year placement season will be started .Mnay big giant companies come here like FANG,Rubix,Hercules ,uber ,Zomato ,Swiggy,Goldmann Sachs and mostly all tech companies com here core companies like Texas instrument ,Snapdragon,Qualcomm comes and hires in great amount mostly electronics engineer hired for digital electronics role profile as its the need of the market.Highest package of MNNIT in ECE department was 72 Lacs and average and median lying in the range of 20-22 Lacs.Every year around 705of students get placed rest of them leaves for high studies,MBA,UPSC..My plans after getting degree is to do a Job
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fees 125000 and hostel fees is 25,000 for a year divided into two parts for each semester,Mess fees is 25,000 per semester there is one time fees which is very nominal rest nothing extra is required.Various scholarships are available on the basis of cgpa,Up scholarships are also available
Campus Life
So Basically there are three events One technical called Avishkar,another one Cultural named Culrav and for sports we have a Annual Athletic Meet all three are amazing events avishkar and culrav are held in october-november and Sports is held in january.Committes are best part of this college .New lecture hall complexes are built in this college to provide better facilities for student
Hostel Facilities
So in first year we boys are allotted SVBH hostels and they are best literally best spacious rooms and good meal quality meals here are served 4 times in a day .In 2nd and third years we are allotted Patel and Tilak hostels and in third year Malviya and Tandon hostels are allotted they are old hostels so they have a bit of poor quality and in 4th years we all boys are allotted with NBH they are also good infact best of the time you will spent here in your final year engineering degree.
Admission
So in JOSSA i applied for limited NIT as i washaving a decent rank so i was not able to get electronics branch in south NIT and neither CSE in decent enough NIT i applied for MNNIT,MNIT Jaipur NIT Rourkela only these 3 were only in my list Most important thing for me was the distance nearest to home which was allahabad only moreover i was interested in doing both the things electronics and coding too and MNNIT Has excellent coding culture which prooves to be my best choice till now.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is high a little bit there is a one teacher for every 90 students .I liked the most Dr.Rajeev Gupta Sir teacher of digital eelctronics he is best in his subject and can learn about life too from him He is excellent in everything he tries I admire him the most be it playing badminton with him or learning life values .The professor i didnt like is Dr.Rajitha B Mam she is good with her subject but she cant deliver that subject to the student in good manner so a student can easily grap it moreover she doesnt understand studentgs learning curve She starts directly from higher level .There are 2 exams in a semester midsem and end sem and there are marks for practical exams too So exams depends on the professor and on the subject both as maths is obviously a hard subject so students fail in this subject ,Rest assured other than this there is slightly less students which fail the subject mostly score decent enough to surpass this criteria.
Night Life
As a first year there is no night life we are not allowed to leave the hostel premised late than 10pm and we have to come before this too otherwise there is a heavy fine .But as we come in senior hostels there is no as such restrictions there are night canteent too nearby so we can have food in night but for girls night timings are serious like for girls in each year max time is 10:30pm .Hangout places includes Cafe96,Dewsis Cafe and outside the campus includes Curzon Bridge
