What Students Say

Likes

Fast management regarding releasing Sem mark
Weekly interactions with technicians to clear doubts
Campus life events was extraordinary for every department

Dislikes

Staff coordination with students is less
Heavy traffic in campus so it’s very hard to reach classes on time
Collecting money for maintenance but it is not solved for example department theatre chair was broken but not fixed

Course Curriculum Overview

In department of visual communication, the subjects are relevant to the current technology and real world, only the subjects about history, so we couldn't lear current topics,sometimes teachers rush the portions and give the pdf notes

Placement Experience

I didn't get any information about placement in our department but faculty members said from my batch placement is planned for my department and without getting any black mark for any semesters with average 20k

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees - 85000 Book fees for 1st year - 10000 CDC fees for 3 year - 10000 Scholarships - 8500 for 1year as per the 12th mark Maintenance fee is collected every end of the semester Exam fees 3000 per semester

Campus Life

Rampus event was the popular event in our overall collage which shows the students multiple talents and Flashmob is dance event which happens every weekend . In our department silver frames and talkies was the major event happening every year.

Admission

I have applied to DG Vaishnav college, Guru Nanak , MCC , Loyola college. In this first I got selected to guru Nanak college & DG Vaishnav college they said to pay fees immediately so family and me rejected, MCC and Loyola didn't give response regarding admission. Finally decision was SRM college I got selected immediately with conssssion in merit . And they gave time to pay fees also

Faculty

Faculty is good with students improvement but the subject are not relevant to the course, since it is visual communication, the Practicals are less. Per semester cycle test 1& 2 , model exam and semester exam is conducted.

Night Life

In around our college there are lots of cafe , canteen in budget friendly restaurants, we feel safe in night time since police station is also nearby to our college , the new cafe opened in our college is Q-cafe which provides all varieties of snacks and beverages

Actually the college provides placement for the students and especially to the lower background students at the max. The college collaoborate with the govt. dept. to create placement drives in the college. The salary is not that much attractive still its okay only.

Placement Experience:

The placement will be happening for the 3rd year students who have registered already by paying 6000 rs. The topics companies like Accenture, TCS, wipro,etc come for placements. The highest package is around 3.5 lakhs per annum . I am opting for higher studies.

Quite impressive

Remarks:

The infrastructure of the college campus is very good and peaceful as well. My college has a vast library which works from 8.30 a.m to 5.30 p.m on all working days and study holidays. Here if a student wants to borrow any other books other than his/her course, they need to seek prior permission of the Principal to get them books.

Why SRM is better than other collages.

Chose SRM University mainly because of its strong reputation in engineering, excellent infray,and placement opportunities.I has applied to a few other private universities like VIT Vellore and Manipal University.while I did get a confirmed admission from one,i felt SRM had a more vibrant campus life,better connectivity to Chennai City, and a strong alumni network. Person with expectations, College full of regrets

I choose this college because it had a great placement record than any other tier 3 college in the NCR region. The Student Life at SRM IST

I am a dropper, I got 75k something rank but that year cutoff for the colleges in Delhi skyrocketed for general category like nothing before. So I didn't get any college in Delhi, took a drop and applied then here at this college and Amity University Noida. I cleared both bht I preferred this college over Amity University because of many reasons - fees, cultural activities, student crowd, placement.
