Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is completely outdated, if it gets upgraded it will be fine, comparing the curriculum of this college with other college outside state they are bound to the core and to the advance trend. The academic setup have to be made strong so that people will focus much.
Placement Experience
Actually the college provides placement for the students and especially to the lower background students at the max. The college collaoborate with the govt. dept. to create placement drives in the college. The salary is not that much attractive still its okay only.
Fees and Financial Aid
When it was the time of admission, I paid 1350 for the first year followed by 300 for 2nd year and another 300 for 3rd year. As it is a state government college, they doesnt charge high fees. They charge very less amount. They provide scholarship options like state govt. scholarship and central govt. scholarships. I got NSP scholarship processed though our college which was very beneficial for me. The fees structure is very affordable.
Campus Life
I been to the college only for 1 nd a half year instead of 3 years because of corona. I found the college to be the best in the city with nect level atmospher around it. The college looks so good, the life in it is also good enough to stay over there for a long time. There are aloy of social groups in the campus. Sports are there and they take studnets to multiple events . There are alot of culturals nd intercollege events too in the college.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are govt. run where we have to pay very less only compared to other colleges in chennai. The caution deposit is 10000 till you complete the degree. And that will returned to you back. Hostel fees will be around 7000 per year. Food will be charge separately per month for both boys and girls. There are alot of rented facitlites outside the college
Admission
I didnt apply anywhere after completing my 12th standard. As I belong the the state itself so got admitted in the college in the very first councelling as my 12th marks were high. People in my place suggested that Presidency college is so good, that attracted me towards it.
Faculty
The exam system is like the same of other colleges under University of Madras. Will have 2 semester exams in a year and 2 internals and a model exam per semester which includes practical exams too. Scoring in the exams are really easy, whatever you write you will be made pass. Faculty are fine only, but not that high enough compared to other colleges.
Night Life
The college is situated in the main city of chennai, which is more than enough to enjoy the night life of the city of joy. Enjoyed the most than being in the campus, roamed all around the city. The college has a canteen, a new auditorium, a big library, sports complex, etc. The hostels are outiside the college compus. Only boys hostel doesnt have any timung girls have timing restrictions.
