Remarks

Overall speaking it is one of the best campuses for a student to study but there are still some areas where development is much needed. The hostel's life is also good and provides safety.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum and exam structure until now are ok and simple to follow. The course includes many topics related to current trends in the media industry making students industry aware about new technologies, methods and approaches. The exams structure is also good.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements in this university have pertained to only some fields like management, media, engineering, and law. There is a compulsory internship for all the final year students which will be evaluated in the end. In our department, we have to work at least for 2 months in the media field. University tries its best to get good companies for placements.

College Events

5

One more advantage of studying in amity Jaipur is its exposure towards events and functions. It is payable for organizing events that attract students from different colleges to come and participate. There is also one month long sports event Sangathan, which is an inter-department sports competition in the university. The exposure of events also helped me to be part of commities that built my confidence.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Thea fees structure of amity jaipur varies from course to course. We cannot say one range of fees is offered for all the courses. Depending upon the course the fees changes and also there is a hike in fees structure by 5 percent for every academic year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I havent opted for any scholarship or education loan for my course. And if any student wants to opt for a loan there are flexible options provided by the university.

Campus Life

5

There is each and every facility for a student inside the campus. There are up to date labs and facilities available for students. The students interested in sports are also taken good care and given support to take part in outside the campus competitions.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel for this academic year is rs.60000. The cost of hostel also increased by 5000 every year. There is also option of single occupabcy and a.c room for students who wanted other options. The rules of hostel are a bit strict when it comes to girls specially as the management makes it a point that girls security is strictly managed so that they can feel safe.

Alumni/Alumna

There are some alumni who often visit the campus and share information about the industry. They also provide their support for students when needed.

Admission

I am studying journalism and mass communication in this university. Entrance into this course didnt had any exam but although there is a process to get admission. First we have to submit the application form, where we will get a confirmation mail from the university saying we got shortlisted and have to give Personal Interviews. Based on our performance in the interview admission is finalised.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty here are well educated ph.d complered professors who also has extensive knowledge in the filed of media. Almost all the faculty has worked in media before coming unto academics which gave us more knowledge to understand how media works and what a media person should possess.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I enjoy writing content, The classes held on creative writing helped me understand the importance of language and trained me to write for different formats- including press releases, articles. scripts for radio shows, etc. I gained lot of practical writing knowledge while pursuing the course. Subjects like media laws and development communication were taught further during post-graduation diploma. Prior learning hepled me in retaining the concepts well. The 10 marks unit test, held twice a semester were held for 90 minutes, while semester exams (theory), held for 70 marks were completed in 3 hours. The practicals during semester exams were held for 30 marks, which included assignments or file submission and viva.

Remarks:

The college is running like a private corporate organization. But as they provide education services, we thought to believe they will be helpful, and offer us quality education, but they failed in providing quality education. The management is biased, your practical number can vary if you are not a chamcha of the faculty. You can achieve excellent marks by licking some boots. Jaipur national university is running with a motive to earn money. They do invite famous Bollywood star to increase the popularity. The university is purely PR gimmick.
