Course Curriculum Overview

4

This profession requires theoretical as well as practical knowledge. This hospital associated with GIMS is Kashiram Hospital. It has a good clinical exposure and we get to see a wide variety of cases everyday in the clinical postings. The curriculum prepares us well to get along in the profession well and become good clinicians. Exams are conducted regularly with moderate difficulty level according to the university exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

GIMS is an excellent institute for various courses like MBBS, Nursing, Paramedical etc. It has a primary focus on academics with the best faculty mostly from New Delhi. The teachers here focus on each and every aspect of learning, be it theoretical, practical, group discussion or self directed learning. The hostels are well maintained and cleanliness is well ensured with 24 hr electricity and water supply. The college has a good position among the medical colleges in NCR

Campus Life

5

The annual fest AAGHAZ is organised every year probably in Feb- March months The library offers a wide range of books related to our syllabus. The classrooms are well equipped with smartboards, mikes and projectors. All sports are encouraged in the campus for which we have the indoor and outdoor stadium. GIMS has various clubs for various activities like AROHA (music club), SPANDAN ( literary club), etc

Hostel Facilities

3

Facilities in the hostel include 24 hr electricity and water supply, mess food (which although not best but is better than many other hostels) Hostel fees per year is 72,000 including electricity and mess

Admission

I had got selected for Maharani Laxmibai Medical College, Jhansi in 1st round of my NEET UG counselling but got upgraded to GIMS in the 2nd round. I chose this college as it is located near Delhi NCR and has faculties from famous Delhi colleges. My NEET rank was decent as to get a decent government medical college like GIMS. My college permits admission on the basis of rank in NEET UG exam and students are admitted through various rounds of counselling for which the cut offs change every year based on difficulty level of paper and preferences of students

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio in GIMS is about 1:5 The best faculties over here include Dr. Manisha Singh (Biochemistry), Dr. Satyendra (Surgery), Dr. Rahul Bagla (ENT), and many more As such no faculties are there who are not good at their work. Regular exams are conducted which are of an appropriate difficulty level according to the university exam level

Night Life

1

Since I live in girls hostel whose closing time here is 7 pm , so no late night outings allowed for us No, the locality is not safe for girls at night and this is the reason for the early closing time here

There are clinics which give us experience of real world and opportunities to apply knowledge. Using newer technology could be beneficial. Final exams once a year and pre finals before that and 1-2 term exams each year along with practical and vivas Moderately tough and as the year passed it gets tougher.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When I was in 2nd class then on report card I have to write which is your aim in future or what you want to become in future . Then there I I choose that I want to become a doctor and from then I I have dream that I become eligible doctor . Second doctor is very noble profession and it is my honour that I am serving the people and save the lives of the people . This profession teaches me a lot like how to cope with the situations and how to react very quickly in every situation . It help us to improve our skills and also our mental health and makes a strong mentally and emotionally .. I should suggest that there is a improvement in online lectures also provided for the MBBS course because there is little bit difficulty in the college to go there and study there because some scarcity of faculties in the college so qualitative education is not provided as it should be provided. The MBBS course offers four exams which are little bit hard to clear and there is little difficulty in clearing the exam. The timing of the exam is from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.. The terminal occurs at the gap of 3 months while the pre professional exam and the professional exam occur at the gap of 1 month.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It was my dream destination career wise to choose MBBS . MBBS connects you to life and death the two most important aspects of being a human on this planet . Having a power to cure someone and make people smile and live again with health is something else. As in our India the population to doctor ratio is very less hence it's important for the young generation to understand and evaluate the decision of serving the country this way. MBBS is dream for many but reality for very few students all over the country. But the people reaching here face toxic culture also , as prestigious it is as disturbing sometimes it becomes , people over here do not understand the mental health of others So this aspect should be taken in to care and medicos should be handled with care by the society, government and also the seniors . The exams are big rat race , but it's really satisfying as a reader as you get to study and read a lot about medicine . So choose MBBS but not toxicity make your mind that you ll make it beautiful for yourself and also for your batchmates and juniors as well .
