Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is relevant to the course and real life. The course prepares you well for real life as B.Com is finance centric course, so if you want to make your career in finance it's very helpful. Any improvement that I could say is - few extra subjects which are taken from other departments should be removed instead subjects about AI, Creatives, etc should be added. The frequency of exam in one semester are as follows : 2 mid semester exam - one month gap - 10-11.30 or 2-3.30 1 end semester exam - end of semester (june and December) - 10-1 or 1.30-4.30 Practicals - after end sem
Placement Experience
Students before eligibile for placement before their second last semester (if I have 3yr course, I would be eligible for placement from 5th semester) Few popular companies that visit us are - Blinkit, EY, Bosch, TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, etc for various roles in all departments. Highest package is - 48Lpa (BTech) , 28Lpa (MBA) and 12lpa (BBA and Bcom) Average package is 6-8lpa in all departments. More than 70% students get placed in some company or other who apply for placement as there areany companies coming. My plans - I'm placed at Zomato so I am going to work there after the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The detailed fee structure is : Tution fees - 70000 Special fees - 10000 Registration Charges - 10000 One time security deposit - 10000 (refundable) Library and sports charges - 6000 Exam fees (one time in a semester) - 4000 - 6000 depends upon subjects No Reservations criteria available. Scholarship available upto 100% but they have some catch. For first you may get 100% but after that 50% or less is applied for further years And yes the fees is increasing.
Campus Life
The most eye catching fest is our annual college fest - Prisma. Different small events happen through out the year. Almost every type of books are available in the library. Every classroom is air contioned, has Projector and a mic and speaker setup. The main sport attraction is - Samavesh event and aside that sport competition of all the sport happen through out the year with students participating from other universities too.
Hostel Facilities
AC, wifi. House keeping, Repaire and maintainance facility are provided in room. Meal quality is good 7/10. Registration process is easy you just need to tell in the admission dept and fill the form, the affordability of hostel is I can't judge I'm writing the fees here : 1,80,000 - 3 sharing 2.35.000 - 2 sharing 3.35.000 - 1 sharing. The locality to rent a flat is in kundli and few society names are - Lakegroove, Kingsbury, Max Heights.
Admission
I didn't apply for any other college as I was clear I want to go to SRM. This college has its own advantage like infrastructure, faculty and course offerings. Admission process is a bit complex, you need to submit your documents and also apply for id card there only. It's a 6 step process. The other questions are not valid for my case.
Faculty
The Faculties in my department are good. You just need to create and have a bond with them, don't pinch them, don't disrespect them and they are great mentors. The Faculties are good and very easily approachable. The best faculties according to me are - Dr Upendra Singh, Dr Radha Rani - they both are very understanding and don't boss around you like a teacher but listen you like a friend. In particular I don't have a faculty which I don't like , so no I can't answer it. The student faculty ratio is good - there are faculties for all the subjects from various departments. The number of exams in one semester are - 2 mid sem (50 marks)and 1 end sem (100 marks) , the exams are pretty easy if you study consistently. The students mostly pass the exams except few. The relevance of course curriculum is 7/10 , Few subjects are like "I know these subject are related to commerce but how are they going to help me in future or real life."
Night Life
The night life is good around the area, there are N number of restraunt open 24x7 all around. Gym and cafeteria are available in campus. Hostel and campus in timings are latest 12am. Famous spot inside - bunnys kitchen, royal cafe, HM ground. Outside - Bollywood Dhaba, Rasoi. Parker Mall. Rodeo drive, etc. They are all pretty safe to roam around in night.
