Course Curriculum Overview

3

Okay so let's talk about my course as it's a bachelor's degree in interior design.... So here they make you study about the architecture more that the interior design thing.... So it could seem to be a bit boring sometimes

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm paying ?115000 pet year for 4 years.... And in design we need stationers too so that be costly more.... Yes there is scholarship status available but i haven't opted for that coz I wasn't eligible....

Campus Life

3

Yaaa my college is only into social media... They have several clubs like mevrick, zarurat, jic, dott etc.... these help us to get interested in other fields other that our own.... I really need smart board... For easy understanding

Admission

Yaar this was in my budget so I got my addmission done here but i regret this thing as i could have got bit better colleges that this one with good faculty and with good atmosphere with environment....

Faculty

2

Okay so the faculty here is very strict sometimes.... I'm only talking about design i mean the interior design faculty.... But some are real nice and helpful.... Exams here are not very hectic... But not very boring rules

Night Life

1

There's no night life in my college ..... The hostels are closed by 9 and the main gates by 8 Too muchof restrictions on these aspects.... Gym is like boring only.... Cafeteria is good good.... Library is good...

Placement Experience:

So, the students are eligible for placements after the 8th semester, which is after they graduate. As for Fashion Communication (FC), the companies range from news channels like NDTV, to companies like Shopper's Stop, Magazine outlets like Vogue, and Media channels like MTV, almost every sub field requires FC students, given the vast area of our studies. You can get the proper details on Official NIFT FC website, since these are just the details from the top of my head. Also, I have to admit I'm not very well informed about the placement situations or the statistical numbers, but as far as I have heard from the seniors, almost every graduate leaves with a job, or chooses to get into freelancing. The highest package received was by one of my seniors, which is 24lpa, and the average is approx 15lpa. As for my plans after getting my degree, I'm still exploring, since I'm in sem 4, and only halfway thru my degree. I'm leaning towards either Fashion Journalism, Styling, PR and Brand Management or Creative Direction, but I'm still keeping my options open.

Students become eligible for campus placement from 3rd year. The white crow is one of the best company who takes students. Highest package is 30000-40000 and the lowest package is 15000-20000. 80% of students get placements. I want to further pursue my higher studies in masters in fashion designing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum would prepare you 60% for the real world and real problems that are faced in actual fields because the basic things are taught once you go do a job the problems are quite different then what we think. We aren't taught what or do if the cutting team cut the pattern in the wrong orientation and now the flowers are facing down.
