Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is based on competitive exams. And gives us an exposure to attending compulsory seminars paper reading and project works along with lab works. More application based questions could be introduced. And there are 4 exams. We have a continous evaluation pattern.

Internships Opportunities

4

We can work under our own college professors we can ask them for reading projects internships etc. We can approach other college professors for internships as well which pne should. I'm not sure about stipends for home students.

Fees and Financial Aid

1st sem fees 57000 2nd to 8th sem fees 52000 9th and 10th sem fees varies. Data science minor fees differ. You can get any government scholarships like NSP or INSPIRE on merit basis or any private scholarships too. For Sc/St the fees is far more less. Tution fees for gen gen ews obc is 44500 nearly for sc/st its nearly 9000 The fees doesn't change much with year. Hostel fees is just 4000 rs per semester including electricity charges. Mess food charges aren't included in any of these.

Campus Life

5

We have vivante as the annual fest and iism and iicm as annual cometetive events. Further we have celebrations for different occassions and club events major and minor. We also celebrate science day on a big scale. Infrastructure is nice. The new library which will soon be in use is great. We have clubs and student run club ulmochan here.

Hostel Facilities

5

We here live in residential hostels which have rooms of doble occupancy. We get a cot a table a chair a shelf and an almirah per person. The rooms have 2 windows and one fan. You can order a cooler in summers and pay additional 500rs per month for electricity charges.

Admission

Government college, better exposure, good lab facilities, nice professors better opportunities than other private btech or government btech colleges with branches offering not much package. Iat is the entrance test. We went to a private college for btech and a professor there suggested us this over theirs.

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio could be around 0.3 or so. Faculty are approachable easily. Some great faculty members. Some just take you through slides. There are 2 quizes and midsem and endsem exams for almost every course and 2 classes + 1 tutorial per week each course. We alsoe have lab courses. The marking system varies from professor to professor.

Night Life

5

Wr have night canteen, flexible timings. Earlier the hostel timings were restricted to 12:30 am but now there aren't any hostel timings and students can study and plan things around even at nights. Tutorial rooms are open and available for students to study at nights. Current lib gets closed at 11 pm though.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of BSMS course is good and every year its getting better. The curriculum is vast and we have many options in every field. I choose this course as I was very much interested in Research and loves to gain depth knowledge in my interest field. The course is made according to CSIR-NET, GATE exams and other national exams for higher study. This course gives knowledge from depth to advanced research and provides a greater impact in the research life and process. The teaching methods are already good. The frequecy of exam is good and also not hectic. The level of difficulty is easy to moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main reason why i chose this course is because it provided me an opportunity to explore research field very openly and provided me with an opportunity to do research work in and outside the labs of IISER Tirupati. However there was no direct campus placement atleast for biology majors in IISER Tirupati.

Course Curriculum Overview:

First of all, BSMS is an integrated course and in this course, you will learn all the aspects of science from depth to a greater levels. The subjects are made according to national exam syllabus. Everything is great here. For the first 2years, you will learn all subjects maths, physics chemistry and biology. In 3 rd year we got the option for major. Here taking one minor subject is compulsory and this will also help u in refreshing your mind. Exams: they don't ask direct questions or theoretical concepts directly, i fact they will ask you experimental questions so that you can think like a researcher. We have 2 quiz, one mid sem and end sem. Frequency is better for us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The courses in IISERs are mostly Research based and focus is on modern scientific technology. We have one of the best undergraduate as well as advance laboratories in all aspects of science for World class research The relative grading system is quite harsh some times, awarding lesser grades when there is huge competition in specific courses. Grades fluctuate by 1-2 marks. There is continuous evaluation system to ensure we study through out the semester.

Everything you are being taught is usefull throughout the course. And there are a lot of exms going on . Teaching methods are not advanced . Green boards and projectors, ppt that's it . There may be you get one or two faculties who will make your paradigm change rest of them are old school teachers Teachers should focus more on basic understanding not only in completion of syllabus
