Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is followed as per the National Medical Council's guidelines and there are no issues in that. The curriculum could be improved by including the practicality factor in the new additions to the curriculum such as the Family Adoption Programes and other things.

Internships Opportunities

4

It is compulsory to be posted as a intern for a year in MBBS course. The internship is provided by the university itself. I am also not very much knowledgeable about the peculiarities and other things about it.

Fees and Financial Aid

College Fees is 38,600 for 1st year and 34,600 for the years 2nd to 5th. University Fees is 3,820 for 1st year and 3,320 for the years 2nd to 5th. Hostel Charges is 17,200 for 1st year and 15,200 for the years 2nd to 5th.

Campus Life

5

There are many things going on in the college, out of which ARMSCON is the main annual event of the university. I haven't been to the library yet. The sports facilities are world class which include synthetic badminton court, a full size football pitch and a cricket ground which allows interaction between students as well as faculty.

Hostel Facilities

4

We are provided with a table, a chair and a bed ( you have to bring your own mattress ). The food in mess is quite nice. The hostel fees was 24k for a year. Mess fees depends on the number of meals eaten.

Admission

I couldn't get any other better reputed institution than this. I couldn't make it other colleges because of my rank. Admission process is easy and online. Once you have been alloted the college, you have to go for a mandatory document verification at any designated venue.

Faculty

4

The faculty is strict but also cooperative and helpful. The faculty to students ratio is decent as there are multiple teaching staff for each department. I don't like a few of the Biochemistry and Physiology Department PGs but there is no such problem. There are 6 stages of each subject in a year and passing them depends on the amount of effort one puts

Night Life

5

The nightlife is enthralling and fun. Many cafes and restaurants are located withing walking distance. There are no hostel timings for boys but it is 7p.m. for girls. It is quite safe at night time. There is also theatre nearby for late night movie watch etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mbbs seems a very approaching course. We learn about human body. The initial years of MBBS focus on basic sciences (anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology). The teaching method should become more practical based as in the end treating the patient is our goal The frequency of exams in mbbs is pretty high Exams are there within every 3 weeks in anatomy

New nmc curriculum is quite clinical based and practical also the practicals in different subjects help us to grab the concept even more. Syllabus is quite vast and difficult to cover. Exam frequency is very high evil give pcts after every topic completion and two internals and two centres and one professional exam is also there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I've always wanted to become a doctor. Every batch consists of 150 students and for every subject, there are at least 4-5 professors. All faculty members are of course doctors with varying degrees of specialization in their respective fields. Their teaching method is through PowerPoint slides for theory classes and practical's are held in respective labs as it happens everywhere else usually. As for now, due to COVID exams being postponed otherwise before the pandemic, exams were held on time. Exams in a medical college are always slightly more difficult than other courses otherwise if you study properly it's not that tough to pass.
