- Faculty of some subjects are actually very good . Especially the final year subject teachers .
- A good patient exposure provided .like :in endo& cons. Dentistry: around 200+ restoration and 25+RCT . In community dentistry: camps in different areas . In oral surgery : 100+ extraction, arch bar
- Lecture theatre were good. Some labs are also good.
Dislikes
- Some labs are suffocating . Do not have proper ventilation .
- Hostels - are not good . In single occupancy room - two students have to adjust . Washroom are not good . And dogs roam in hostel create a lot of noise.
- In 1st,2 nd year - there is 1 class in dental clg and next class in another building which is quite away around 900 metres. Had to walk a lot .
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is relevant as in today's world every person suffers from dental problem . And you are becoming a specialist - oral cavity specialist . In this course we don't deal with teeth only - we deal with various other problems of oral cavity also like many diseases of mouth like mpds, ulcers, lichen planus and many others. Some subjects are taught very good . Some are actually hectic . Timings of exam is ok .
Internships Opportunities
Internship is done within the college . rotatory 365 days internship is done in different departments. Stipend of 24k is provided every month for 1 year There is day duty and night duty in trauma centre in a month
Fees and Financial Aid
In 2019 year , I paid for 1st year .. college fees- 52k Hostel fees -20k around and also a security deposit for hostel of 4 k that is refundable. Then for 2nd , 3rd , final yr - college fees -around 44k per year Hostel fees - 22k per year And there is 10% increase in fees for every next batch . And for internship - 15 k for hostel And stipend is given to students that is around 24k monthly. There is scholarship for sc students .
Campus Life
Pgids, rohtak is under uhsr rohtak .. annually there is conferences like ARMSCON . And there are various other conferences which are conducted by individual department . There are different sports meet like - Spardha. Classrooms are having projectors . Library is common for all students of UHSR , ROHTAK and that includes a dental section . Reading hall is there ..that is 24 hrs open ..but that is very old ....less seats are there
Hostel Facilities
Ist year - yamuna girls hostel -3 seater room and 2 seater room Fir 2nd year to internship - 2 seater room which are actually single seater. Facilities provided- table chair bed fan almirah Hostel mess is there .. which is ok ok Registration process is done with admission process
Admission
The admission process is through NEET -UG so I applied for bds through state counselling .. and in haryana there is only one govt dental college for which I applied . I didn't choose private dental college .
Faculty
100 students in a batch . And every department have atleast 5-6 faculties . Faculties like Dr. Sanjay Tiwari sir , Dr. RK Sharma sir , Dr. Amrish sir, Dr. Ritika mam, Dr. Neha sikka mam, Dr. Bhawna , Dr. Pankaj , Dr. Ritu and many others were good .SR also teaches Ug students who are also good . Some departments are not good . Exams -annually theory + practical There are sentup exams before final exams . In 1st year- 3 subjects theory +4 subject practical 2nd year- 3 subjects theory +5 practical 3rd year - 3+3 Final year - 8+8
Night Life
In campus - there are various vita stores .. you can get packed items . And tea . Market is around 1km away Library is in campus Fiesta is nearby canteen for doctors and students. It is not safe to roam around at night.
